The shame is i think we will hear worse. This is going to be like the RS all over again.

Are there still a bunch of RS for sale asking for premiums?? i would think by now they would be at MSRP. If not - I hope they all get stuck with them

According to Autotrader there are 180 2014-2016 GT3/GT3RS for sale. GT3 average price is $138k. Maybe I should just keep my 2012 GTS Coupe. Only 10 of those for sale.

CA dealer called and said I can "have" their new RS for 70K over. He explained "white is the hottest color." I said, let's just say I disregard all external events that affect money or finance or taxes or the economy, if I buy this RS at 70K over, what happens to me when the new .2 GT3 comes out.

His response "that's a whole new ball game."

I don't even bother asking the RS price.

They are all selling at $100K CAD above MSRP and they've been in the lot for over 6 months already

Not in California. No non-refundable deposits allowed. Hence why either party can back out of a deposit agreement. Sucks IMO, but it protects, and cuts, both ways.

$70? That's a deal. My dealer wants $90k over, though they would settle for $75k. Cars are just gathering dust.

Maybe by the time they sell the RS, the factory warranty will have already expired.

I was in there yesterday to check out the LWBs again just in case I get a .2 GT3 allocation and see if my old broken down body could live with them, and I couldn't stop drooling over the GTSilver RS they have in stock. It's near letter perfect to my desired build (only a few things I wouldn't spec). I really don't want an RS, but man is it an awesome car. I was running numbers at a $15k ($225k) premium and it's still too much for a toy for me. Such a shame those cars are just sitting there though.

I really think the buyers that would pay the big premiums have bought already and the cars that remain are simply overpriced. They're just going to keep gathering dust until the asking prices drop.

Interesting. I was thinking about getting an RS if I can't get the .2 GT3. So I asked around, to see if the RS price has moved down
Here are the answers:
(Asking = $320,000 CAD, MSRP =$220,000 CAD)

"We are selling these cars at market price. That means, even if you come in today with a 16' GT3 RS, we will give you $300,000 as trade in value"

"Our GT cars don't depreciate like other exotics, thus we charge higher price"

I know RS is mighty and awesome, but I'm wondering, who is going to buy it when you can buy the Mclaren 720S and Huracan Performante at a similar price? Not to mention used 650S............

Thank you.... you can keep the RS.....

This is a bubble not a long term environment. Porsche is coming out with so many hot cars this world will change. Some will be happy and others not so much.

Maybe in Canada, but not here in the U.S. I've been following over a dozen overpriced RS's here in the States for months and they are languishing unsold. A few have even dropped their premiums down into the 20% range and still haven't sold.

For every day they sit at the dealer it will end up costing them money.
Please share what dealer that pays $300k for RS. He will have plenty to show in a couple of weeks.
