I'm liking the solar beam yellow!
I wonder how durable the car would be on track, at most I would do 2-3 events a year at this point in life.
It's a tough decision overall, I really am hooked on 911 and would like to step into a GT3. But I can enjoy other cars as well. Budget wouldn't allow to have a GT3 and GTR let alone my garage only has room for two and the C4S is staying. What we need is garage condos in the GTA like they have in the US. Wonder how that Alberta project is doing, think it was Calgary?

I was on the fence about that but I would order PDK. I took a .1 GT3 out for a test drive last year February. Awesome and loved the sound of PDK banging shifts. That's when I put my deposit down.
Plus my C4S is a 6 spd and I've driven manuals as my DD for many many years (up until November 2015). Not the same I know but kinda looking for something different.

The AMG GT R is a limited production car, I believe. Also, it seems that they are already sold out so they could be even harder to get than the GT3.

Not sold out, first round of allocation is gone at the dealer I am in touch with. They can likely get a 2018 summer allocation. I've just been exchanging emails so may go in to have a proper discussion around all of it.

I find it hard to believe that US Dealers are saying they received all of 2018 allocations and Canada has received "(0)".
Is that typical??
I am not trying to wind people up but there is "0" consistency to anything that we are hearing.
Has any one in Canada received a "firm' allocation with a build slot??

I have a very much confirmed allocation with a build slot. My current 991.1 GT3 goes back to the dealer for the trade on September 11 (so the new owner gets a couple of months of driving before the snow flies), and I am picking up my car in Leipzig on October 17. I was number 2 of 3 at my dealer for the first round of allocations. I hear another group of 3 allocations came to my dealer last week.
Cool that you have that level of detail on allocations from your dealer. If London is looking for a customer, PM me.

I saw the Green GT-R on display at the us open and it's unbelievable. The green is awesome!
I would look for one except watching the depreciation on mercs they tend to be horrendous. The GT-S hasn't held up that well

Back in the GT3 Game...couldnt pass up the 4.0 with manual
had the 2015 .1 for almost 5 months? then sold it. just could not adapt to paddles and felt something was seriously missing in GT experience without the stick.
Have Oct '18 build (does that make it a '19?)
leaned immediately to chalk but the miami blue is growing on me
lift kit? not sure yet. never had one on any of my previous GT3's/RS'
I am sure you guys will help me make many changes in the months to come.
Good to be back in the P car GT world again

And while we're all waiting, at least we can go nuts playing with the updated configurator.

First of all, I am new to Porsche. Was back and forth with my local dealers, and one of them finally promise a car at 20k over for 2017 Nov build...
I know people say MSRP only, but.. sigh Idk....

I think half the people will say wait it out as they will make enough to meet demand, and the other half will say no chance at MSRP at this point. So how comfortable are you with possibly a 50/50 shot at MSRP or close to MSRP, along with the stress that could bring? How much are you willing to pay to avoid that?
