To clarify my original question that Surge74 replied to, my dealer has received all of their allocations for 2018. My question was if anyone with a confirmed 2018 allocation has received their build schedule (V200, V250, V260, etc.)? I have an allocation but my dealer told me PCNA hasn't given them the build schedule, hence them only being able to give me an approximate build date. I was only wondering if anyone else was told this by their dealer besides me.
I'm repeating what was told to me by two separate dealers. One of whom owns the dealership and has zero reason to be unclear (I'm also not on his list for my GT3).
I think the confusion stems from dealers being loose with what they expect to receive in terms of allocation, vs what is actually received. When they say they've received their entire 2018 allocation, that's probably that they expect X number of cars for 2018, based on past experience with the GT3, or some other discussions.
Until you get your confirmed build date, everything else is irrelevant.

Not doubting you, was just trying to corroborate what my dealer told me. So you're saying my "allocation" isn't valid since I wasn't given a build date?

I'm just saying that until you have a VT code, it's all just speculation and heresay, and dealers can play games as to who gets what.
What the latest with ADM? If there is, what is it? Still not clear of all allocations are assigned to dealers yet.
I was just offered 20 over for a July delivery from a broker.

If you have a commission number, you should be good to go.
Both of you are correct. An "Allocation" is simply a number of cars that a certain dealer is suppose to receive from the car manufacturer. That "Allocation" is not a sure bet for the buyer as that is simply an "Allocation" tentatively assigned to a prospective buyer. Once an "Allocation" is confirmed, it will have a corresponding "Build Date" thereafter. So, from an "Allocation" it will transition to a "Build Date" once configured by the buyer with the dealer and thus an "Allocation" now is confirmed by a "Build Date."
In my case I got an "Allocation" for the 991.2 GT3 soon after the Geneva Car Show. I cannot make up my mind what color, options etc. on the car so finally last May 8 2017, I configured my car and thus entered by my dealer to their system and after a day or two got a "Build Date."
Hope this helps what an "Allocation" and "Build Date" means. To have peace of mind get a Vehicle Tracking code. shown as attached.
Drive safe,

Reason: Typo correction.

No, that is incorrect. Dealers have been told exactly how many allocations they're getting and the tentative build dates of those cars. It is not what they expect to get. Obviously, the build dates are tentative, but U.S. dealers already know exactly how many allocations they are getting for 2018 build dates, save for any later bonus allocations. Brett and CJ have already confirmed this, as have many other non-RL sponsor dealers.

I see your location is NYC/Toronto. Are the 2 dealers you're referring to in Canada or USA?

So you are stating that all USA dealers already have been told.
what they are going to get.
So that means that my dealer is lying to me when he said be patient we only got one so far.
Do large dealers get different treatment from Porche vs small dealerships like the one im dealing with.
Im tired of all this that there so many different sources on here that we get different answers.
If i get a car i do if i dont im done with porsche .
