I got the call for an allocation that I am going to pass on.
  1. The dealer wants my GT4 as a trade and they want to undercut the value by approx. $10K.
  2. If I take away my GT4 (if I want to keep it or sell it privately) they are going to evaluate other people on the GT3 list and see what they bring to the table.
  3. They are selling all GT3s at MSRP but require $12K+ of dealership extras (clear film, tire & wheel insurance, etc.). My math says it's equivalent to $20K+ over MSRP without blatantly saying so.
Also, this isn't the dealer where I got my GT4. I am a little further down the list there but they don't play these kind of games. I'm just going to be patient. Close, but no cigar!

The flippers, dealer games, and brokers are in full force it seems. I got an email today from a broker (i assume) named Ralph Pierce (REP7777) telling me a dealer has a Spring delivery GT3 for $20k over.

Sounds very similar to a story I got once re a "GT4 at MSRP" (from Beachwood in OH). Sure you can have the car you want at MSRP; you just have to give me a bunch of other stuff at way-off market values to do it--otherwise, no deal. I'll never return to that dealership.

I believe a LOT more people than you'd think engage in these kind of shenanigans and then go bragging about how they got their GT cars at MSRP.

I am all for capitalism; I just don't countenance this nonsense.

Same people also checking the survey box on RL that they paid MSRP. It is why I've always felt that poll was worthless.

Beachwood strung me along on an MSRP allocation for two months. In the end they wound not move off 110K for my 15 GT3 sticking at 155K. I never considered it and moved on. I dealt with Kevin, but he claimed the GM was non negotiable on my trade. Bunch of terds there.

It's a small dealer. I think this is actually the first two slots they've gotten since their two 918 customer allocations. On the .1 GT3, they got a couple more slots quicker than this. Adds to the story that there may not be as many .2s as there were .1s.

For now, I'm enjoying my 2014 - over 54,000 miles

NICE! Happy Driving in your .1! Maybe hit 70k before you get your .2?

This speculation is getting funnier by the post! Here is the only guarantee you have. Porsche will charge more as long as the market allows and the dealers will gouge as long as you are willing to let them. There is my prediction!

You really went out on a limb there; quite the risk taker I see

I predict that if you wait long enough, you will either get a car you want at the price you desire or you will miss out entirely.

Mine froze today, status change to V210, estimated delivery 11/17. I know a bunch of us on here are on similar delivery schedules 11/17 or 11/24 - anyone else in the U.S. frozen?

Exciting to quit wringing hands over silly options and just get on with the waiting!

Congrats! Mine would have been frozen. But then I requested a PTS spot. . .

It is, what is V210? Can't find it on the PSVMS.
