If this is true, then why are dealerships still holding on to people's deposit for potential allocations? Shouldn't they start contacting customers and letting them know?

Awesome, glad thats all the allocations given out. This Car will be a much lower production than most had hoped for.

I have a few deposits up and they seem to just keep the same list rolling from generations generation. So I plan on leaving them there and maybe they will be good for a 992 GT3 one day!

The big question now is that will PAG extend the 991.2 GT3 production beyond 2018?

The current.2 GT3 will not met Euro emission beyond 2018, will they produce 2019 .2 GT3 for outside of Euro zone?

AFAIK the US and CAN are the only countries that utilize the MY system which allows a vehicle to be introduced that way: GT3 built and delivered in 14 but labeled as 15. All others use the build date for theirs.

Yep- this thread will be a real fun ride. I guess we will learn how much dealers like Sonnen know. I know what my Dealer told me this AM but I am not commenting

When I heard the news on here, I started calling all of the dealerships that I'm on the list for. Most confirmed the MY 18 allocations are announced. Some have already made the calls and their allocations are done until possibly MY 19. Others said they will be sitting down this week to determine how to hand out the new allocations. So I would think if you don't here in 2wk, you have to wait till the next announcement.
PS I've yet to get the official call. Even places that I was high on the list sounded like they may pull some BS. We'll see.

Got a text this morning from the GM of one of my good guy dealer that I got an allocation. I told my SA to put in Golf Blue PTS for me so not sure when the delivery date will be yet so let the wait begin.

Congrats for you guys. Looks like I'm on the outside looking in on this one.

Just had a little flashback to Risky Business..."Looks like the University of Illinois!"

Congratulations.

But...there seems to be a growing belief here on
Rennlist that any Tom, Dick or Martin (pardon the
intended pun) that gets a .2 991 gt3 allocation
will be able to request & GET a coveted PTS slot
too! If so, it's not from the same Porsche company
I have intimately known since 1973. So caveat emptor.
Fairly tales can come true...but just not often enough
as it relates to PTS at Porsche!
