The article makes it pretty clear what the two options are:
1 - $$$ track car that doesn't need to conform to any specific homologation formula or ruleset; e.g. P1 GTR, LaFerrari FXX, etc.
2 - Huracan GTE/GTLM car; rumored in the past but nothing as of late; golden opportunity for Graham Goodwin to mention this yesterday during FIA WEC 6H Silverstone, but he didn't do so when discussing 2018 entrants (i.e., BMW)

Does anyone know the spec of the Performante that did the 6:52 ring time? Does it have magnetic dampers and variable steering? Those are options I believe when you spec this car.
How about tires?
How about tires?

Tires were claimed to be Trofeo Rs, but so far you cannot spec those tires for the car, the car comes with Corsas only. That lap was so crazy with huge grip, so not a surprise if they were some special Trofeo Rs and not the ordinary ones...
Clear problem with the car seems to be the seat, seems you need to buy a new one to fit the racing harness. Don't understand what they were thinking when designing the seat, they thought owners just show off at car events and don't drive at track?

It had both dampers and steering. And the lightweight wheels you can spec as well.

I know what you mean about that seat. I was specing it and noticed that even with the bucket seats I didn't see a way for a 5 point harness. I didn't know they had even another seat for that.

i was at stanford last week listening to Lamborghini CEO stefano domenicali talk, and took a brief video of the Performante revving.. the sound alone makes it desirable to me. there are so few NA cars left.. this and a ferrari 488.. not even a question the lambo wins.. this would never have been the case in the past.
