Enjoy in good health, i don't know about everybody else's McLaren dealer but mine (McLaren Boston) are the very best car dealership I have ever dealt with.
From the sales where they are so helpful and respectful to everyone and not pushy to the service where they are just amazingly helpful, couldnt be happier...
It's a another level of experience, nicer also than the F-Car outift in town. Absolutely top-notch.

BOS is selling my old 675LT I sold last October and new owner kept less than a year. It’s a Cherry car anyone looking for a demon to drive HP 666! Car is # 99 of 500

I put that car on my short list earlier this week. Very tempting but also have a Turbo S coming in soon....

it was good to me for 3 years, and the longest car I’ve owned. I sold it because of too many hoboes and it was sitting, and it almost killed me a couple of times. Sold it for what I paid for it, and it was cherry when I sold it last October. One of the best cars I’ve ever owned honestly, I just don’t let cars sit without being driven.

I was Mac Boston last week looking at the orange Spider. This chicane grey coupe was in the showroom and looked great. I can't comment beyond that because I was only looking at the spider other than giving it a quick once over and looked flawless exterior and I like they had it inside.

Holy crap I have been eyeing your 675LT and telling myself no I should stick to my 650S because spider and less expensive ...

I will try my best not to test drive it because that will result in a $ move...

that dealership is first class ..:

‘If you do you will buy it, light years ahead of the 650, 675LT has P1 engine and can run up to 900 HP per my old mechanic. Engine is bullet proof as it has room to grow with 666 HP.

I got the price reduced to $160k, and I found out today that the car was bought as a CPO by the second owner in 2021, so the warranty ended about a year ago. Also, the brake pads are the original pads, and they don't show much wear, so I think the car has been lightly driven. All of this increases my confidence in the reliability of the car, but I'll get a PPI done.

This 570 GT is a silly fast car, so I'm kind of surprised that people want the even faster versions (675, 720, 765, etc.). Do you guys have access to roads where you can safely open up these cars?

Hahha they're all super fast, CF tubs with sexy doors, it's just a matter of how scared you want to be when you floor it and hit close to redline...

All good I saved the turn, but several close calls …… lesson never think you can out drive the power. Great car, and enjoyed it for 3 years …..longest car tenure I’ve enjoyed.

Yes and no. The driving experience of each of those cars is pretty different beyond just "faster". Super cars have drama. Engine noise, shifting, involvement, steer feel and feedback. Those cars have different suspensions, handling, torque, horsepower. There's a much bigger gap in the experience behind the wheel between the 720 and 765 than it would seem on paper. The LT models have more motorsport theater than the regular models. Less insulation, way more engine flavor.

Where I'm going with this is, yes, you can enjoy these cars for about 2 seconds on the on ramp. Like a 911 TTS. Nobody *needs* a TTS. But raw speed isn't super interesting on public roads in really any sports car these days. Even a base Carrera gets you in trouble in seconds. The 765 and 675 in particular are a lot of fun to drive even at the 35-50mph range. There is a lot going on, in a good way. Crackles and pops and more. It's an experience. Ripping a 765 through a mountain road is amazing. And no, you don't get anywhere close to the limits of the car.

The 720 has a different character, more Jekyll and Hyde. A really wide dynamic range. In comfort mode, it's a wonder cruiser and dailyable. In track mode, it's a raging beast. Take the best things about the TTS, now imagine them all much more, a whole standard deviation better, and mix in some super car flair. The 765 doesn't have that kind of range. It goes from raging beast to KILKILKILKILL

California is a pretty great place to do some driving. Big open highways, pacific coastline, mountain B roads, and a host of famous tracks. It also doesn't hurt that the penalties for mistakes aren't as severe as Virginia or parts of Europe ...

How much variation in paint thickness is there from the factory? The 570 I’m looking at buying is about 4 mil for most of the car, 7 mil for the rear deck lid, 10-12 mil for a rear quarter panel. No evidence of a crash other than the paint thickness variation, but the variation is suspiciously high.

Not normal.

There were repainted panels, rear quarter panels for sure.

So assuming that one or two panels were damaged, replaced, and repainted, but no other damage to the car, how much would this diminish the value of the car? Agreed price before the PPI was $160k. I'm considering buying the car at lower price to account for the apparent repainting, but I'm wondering if there could be damage to the carbon fiber tub which is not easily detected in a PPI.
