I got tired of Porsche's GT games and went with a McLaren. After 4 P cars it was refreshing to get into something else and am happy about the decision.
I think McLaren is doing a fantastic job taking the left over customers. There is charm in a 911 and they are a reliable, fast, track car however it is astonishing how quickly McLaren has stepped up into the mix. I think it is a quality product.

I won't be buying a Mclaren unless I have freedom to choose where I can get it serviced.
Just because an owner can get it serviced elsewhere doesn't mean the dealership won't have customers on service. Porsche, Ferrari, MB, BMW etc have very big service departments despite their cars being able to get serviced elsewhere. Obviously Mclaren doesn't quite have the quantity of cars out there just yet though.
