agreed, thats why I liked it so much it is an event to drive. I'm on the hunt for a blade silver 570gt now. I kept hesitating a few months ago because I wasn't sure if I wanted a S or GT and whether to go bright or dark in color.
but now I've figure out what i want so the hunt begins..

As much as would like to (and I have test driven 4 cars all of which had problems), as long as I keep reading these kind of stories, I remain out.

But for all the many highlights, there were constant niggles, necessitating three returns to McLaren HQ in Woking, Surrey. The IRIS infotainment system was the biggest gripe: always sluggish with poor graphics and functionality, it failed on multiple occasions. Superminis have better systems.
We had a worrying brake issue, which to be fair, McLaren investigated thoroughly, failed to replicate and only occurred once. The nose lift – so essential over speed bumps – wails uncomfortably, both before and after a supposed fix. The car struggles to find the key, making it difficult to get in and start up, even when the key’s inside. The windows will open by themselves when you’ve tried to close them. And every day, there were numerous unexplained warning messages and accompanying chimes.

Are mclaren owners on this board experiencing similar niggles? It is interesting the one i test drove the tpms warning kept dinging it started with one then went to two and ultimately had 3 tires triggering a warning. Definitely a niggle.

I have had more niggles with my .1 RS, over a week now it's been in service for a check engine light/engine fault that they keep going back to the motherland about.
Have never had so much down time vs my Mclarens, on my 3rd.

I had a black on black 675 LT blow past me - when I was doing an inlap at Spa - first part of Blanchimont. Oh boy he was fast, he went wide (on purpose I presume) with no regard for the track limits, dabbed the brakes, airbrake came on (what a sight, really awesome), before diving into the second part of blanchimont. I had a front row seat, and I can tell you that view was VERY impressive, the speed, the composure that car has. It made it look effortless.
Too bad I didn't see that car anymore in the afternoon.
OT: 488 Challenge racecar is a freaking monster too when it divebombes past you when you are braking and setting up for a corner :-)

I have an 991 gt3rs. It has been pretty solid except for a wheel nut which could have been serious (right after a track day).

Postings which talk about reliability or lack of reliability for a certain model/manufacture are silly once a person starts digging into other types of information like safety recalls.
