I also find that funny. I have no interest in a GT2RS, even if I was given an allocation at the price of a GT3. (And that was the price for everyone)

I just completed my 2 year service on my Turbo S and the bill came out to be $993.56 (air filter, oil change, brake flush). The only difference on the Turbo S is that it doesn't require spark plugs on the 2 year. Unfortunately, sounds like your local Porsche dealer must "LOVE YOU A LOT".

Well, you didn't make out too great yourself. Let me break it down for you : 10 quarts of oil at 10$ is 100$. Oil filter must be 30-40$. Let's say 40$.
Air filter is what 60-70$. Let's say 140$ cause they're 2 of them.
Brake flush is 150$ all day, labor included.
100$+40$+140$+150$=430$
Labor for oil change probably pays 1 hr at 150$ an hour.
Labor for air filters probably pays 1.5 hrs because you have to remove the bumper, even though it takes an experience technician 30 min to do it. Let's say 225$.
430$+150$+225$=805$+9% tax=877.45$. Plus a couple cans of brake cleaner and rags...=>hey,you did pretty good actually!

Mclaren, Ferrari etc are really good at extracting money from rich people. They just think rich people don't care about spending $250/hr in labor, $20k to fix a front bumper, etc. It's about maximum extraction. They are very good at the psychology of pricing.

The Mclaren MSO options have the most ridiculous prices.

Don't mind me, I'm bitching because I don't have the $50m+ net worth like the people who buy these.

Between the 812 and 720.

The 720 Spider being so far away.
As a dd in the winter takes a long time to reach driving temp - feel like an *** sitting in the building garage with a loud obnoxious exotic.

Only issue is selling the FF - market is giving away a fantastic and last Pinafarina.

Interesting times with all the turbocharging.

IMO it all comes down to what you really appreciates in a car.

I've driven the new 991.2 extensively. Absolutely amazing cars. Does everything well. Street/track/DD/ canyon runs.

But, I love engines. High revving, screaming engines. So it doesn't matter how good the car is if it doesn't give me that feel.
A sports car for me needs the emotion, sound and soul.

A punch in the back is not enough, fancy interior is not a priority. A high revving engine with a great exhaust note is what makes my hair stand up in the neck.

Hybrid sounds good. Hopefully they trickle down in price so we can all enjoy them.

Nowadays you have to choose between "sound fast" or "actually fast".

True to a point, but all depends on how you define fast. Cars are getting stupid fast for the street. My .1 C2S still surprises me sometimes with how much power it makes if you keep it in the right spot. It's still a ridiculously fast car relative to just about anything but the latest and greatest.

Your point well stated and recognized. Honestly, I'm at the limit on speed and no need for more power it's really not usable. I have long said we speed is becoming a "pissing" contest. My RS is more than enough for me to enjoy road or track. Never really cared for lap times around the ring because it's not applicable to my driving.

Be safe, and enjoy what you drive I see my motto ...all great cars. The stealer just wants to give us a little more "crack" for a new car that's marginally better with new lights.

What even more funny is that there are huge threads about how McLaren and AMG GT R are awesome, and both are turbo.

But I do not mind turbos - there are plenty of great turbo cars, and turbos are only getting better. Heck, I'd take a car powered by burrito farts if it makes my neck hairs stand up when I'm pulling away from a corner at the edge of traction.
