It's not PAG, it's the crazy people on this forum who do the speculation all on their own...and I am one of them...besides, it's part of the fun of the anticipation of a new model.

And why do expect Porsche to behave differently to any other manufacture by announcing forward release plans. All manufactures announce cars when they are good and ready.
This^^^^^^

Let's not blame anyone for our own crazy, if anything, let's be grateful they are so good at creating something which offers so many hours of silly enjoyment.

Yep. No company with this much built in demand for a product that sells for 200K a copy limits production on this kind of profitability. They will have diesel gate paid for in 5 years

Has Porsche ever limited the production of any of the GT3s or RSs? I understand there are production limitations but no outright limited production like the R. Wonder why people think might be different

Is it not possible that they are limited in how many hours in a day to manufacture these? I mean how much can they realistically produce per day? It's not the only car they make.

Just the 997 RS 4.0 and GT2 RS were limited with a plaque, afaik...

996RS and all earlier RS's were built in very limited numbers (and none in USA).

996rs was a dissapointment for Porsche when it came to sales. Cars ended up sitting in showrooms unsold.

One of the reasons they are so cautious with allocations today. They don't want GT/RS cars sitting unsold in showrooms.

Porsche estimated 2000 units for 991 RS but demand was so high they increase production. same rule will apply for every version.
crisis = limited numbers,
free money = supply -1

but definitely PDK opened a new access door, so many people will get the new one with PDK again as it is fast and easy. Manual is more complicated.
Get ready to see future model produced as much as market can absorb. Porsche wants MONEY $$$$

Hopefully the GT3 will have a better tranny than the GT4. Everyone is losing their 3rd gear.

The two gearboxes are unrelated - should not be an issue. If we start seeing problems with the 911R's gearbox, then it's time to worry...

A couple things happened during the 991gt3/RS sale.

1. Good economy or low interest. (Whatever you prefer) increased demand
2. A lot of buyers saw what happened to 997gt cars and automatically thought these cars would be a money maker, Increased demand.
3. PDK and the comfort of the 991gt/RS opened up for new buyers, increased demand.

Porsche will ride this wave as long as they can and I don't blame them.

The 991.2gt3 will be the most sold GT car in Preunigers life. They have programmed the robots. New paint facitilty should make the it easier for buyers to get their new color. Subman should be ready as well.
Remember the shortage of LWB seats and panels that didn't cut it? Engine is version. 2.5 or 3. This time there are no excuses. Time to make $$$$$$.

As Trakcar said we might even see 5000 gt2rs at $300k a pop with a few clicks. How crazy is that. I'm in for one of those.

Agree! You think the GT2 RS is going to break 7 minutes?

Yes, but on more normal track they are going to have to find faster tires!

Agree! 700hp around the ring in a 991rs will brake 7min. Sebring will have way shorter straightaways.
