The " events " are not necessary and they do not please PAG. They are part of a " business relationship " with a certain dealer,if you want to call it that... It means they know you, they know you have spent money and will spend money again with them. You're not just the guy that comes in once and they never see him again. Remember they are not selling high volume cheap cars where they don't care, repeat customers is what they're after.

How can dealer possible not know you if you have a 991 GT3? I mean, I almost live in dealership with all troubles this car gives. This car spends much more time with them than with me. Of course they know me.

After some talk with my source who told me Paris would be the day for the GT3 991.2 he told me that it was planned, but changed the idea because not to loose focus on the new Panamera Hybrid and for some other reasons. They will show it now in Geneva, but it can be ordered some months before. So I am sorry for my wrong posting.
Here something of topic, but interesting to watch, all Nordschleife Webcams on one Site:

You might want to give your source the middle finger.
Paris was NEVER on the table for .2 GT3 as it is not a important show like Geneva.
Frank and Andy had always had Geneva in mind for the .2 GT3.
They told a bunch of us 918 owners at Geneva earlier this year over lunch. We saw pictures and the presentations back then. And of course something else too that cannot be discussed yet.
When I came back from Geneva I posted the timing already.

After Paris you know that next GT3 engine has
"a valve drive with rigidly-mounted rocker arms and a central oil feed”. This set-up is being used for the very first time, Porsche says.
“Furthermore, an integrated oil centrifuge is used to optimise oil defoaming in the engine. A crankshaft with significantly increased rigidity has also been installed.”

Im not saying these arent new designed or that they havent been improved Im just saying you have to be careful you interpret what is published correctly as "all new since last GT3" may well be just the latest MA176 engine with DLC cams that is already the product of 3 major revisions since 2013 MA175 engine was launched...

Looks like an MA177 to me

Yes they should call it MA177. What I want to see before my allocation locks in is CONVINCING technical explanation from AP or his team on what changes have been made to make this 4.0l engine more reliable than the latest updated DLC cam MA175/6 units. It needs to be a bit more substantial than extra oiling too as we have already seen those revisions on G engines and yet the latest thing they've done is DLC coat the cam lobes which indicates it's not just an direct oiling issue....
