There's no way they will want to warranty these cars running on slicks. They need some artificial limiting factor for pushing cars to real edge.

The street version is coming soon, maybe in a month. They didn't debut in Paris maybe because they wanted more attention on the all new Panamera.

Makes sense^

a little bump would cost $10k!

On another note. I really wish the cup center console would be an option for my new gt2rs.

This is the same info I have received. Just can't figure out how they will release it? And don't want to look like FZX on Rennlist.

Confirmed 991.2gt3 at Paris show. I guess he was right. Just needed to add cup.

It's aggressive which is good. I would have preferred the teeth to be straight. That's where it's gets the shark effect that looks so new and different..

To each their own..

So, for the following at Paris:

GT2 - No
GT2 RS - No
GT3.2 - No (maybe some styling q's from the cup)

When will we see these cars?

The front looks great to me. I'm really excited for the 991.2 GT3. As far as 8500 rpm redline, I will take an 8500 rpm redline engine with more torque and reliability over the 9000 rpm 3.8 any day of the week.

Oil lubrication
Valve train
Crankshaft

4.0 L lower max rpms

all mods compared to a 9a1 are for reliability

unique the 9a1 GT3 keeps the record of highest 9k rpms
flat6 ever
somebody could care less but looking collectors going crazy for '70 pts go figure this one next 10 years

Anyone think there will be a rear diffuser on the 991.2 GT3 street car?

Can't imagine the street version having a wing like the Cup. And something has to balance out the downforce, no?

There was a rumor of a Touring package with just a retractable rear wing (and possibly a diffuser too), but not sure if that will happen or not. Standard wing will be better for the track.

The Mezger equipped 991RSR holds that title at 14K RPM

IMO, if they got rid of the teeth altogether it would look way better. Very gt4 like, but way better.

Will be interesting to see. I'm curious as well. If you add the R diffuser and 991.1gt3 wing it will likely need the the RS front fenders to balance the downforce.

IMO it would make a lot of sense in this market. Doesn't seem to be be sensitive to a price increase. Long list of buyers at dealers.

I will be very surprised if there are any significant body/down-force changes to the .2. New lights, bumpers, PCM, and engine but not big wings or lots of carbon pieces with a modest price increase. The others are for the RS.

Personally I wouldn't over think it.

What you see is what you will get with street car. We had the leaked 3D images already and they are spot on.

There will be no wing delete or rear diffuser. It's all here in front of you.

fxz. Those statements of new crank, oiling, fixed rocker valve train are all made to compare the new cup with the old. You can't translate these to the street engine. In fact a number of articles refer to this as the engine in the GT3RS street car etc...

I'd be surprised if the launch the GT3 street car before Xmas but it could be possible I guess. Cup cars will start being delivered by Xmas.

It will be easier to see the look in plain white. We have to remember this car is wider front and rear to street car and the bumper may be tweaked a little for street car etc...
