What about allocation and production quotas ? Didnt heard anything lately...
From my side i remain on 1000 for Europe and 1000 for ROW and these are my max expectation !

My GT3RS is on sale since one month on mobile, no calls nothing... Porsche killed the liquidity of their previous GT3 it will take a while to recover, and i still think that the 2nd hand market it's quite key to keep selling new cars....

FYI, i asked to be on the list at my dealer shop for the mission-e i was surprised to be already the 5th name, but i have been told that it shouldnt not be an issue as the product will be quite large, compair to 911 GT ...

Happy end of year to all !

Cheers

what price are you selling RS at? I agree that market is over supplied, but still don't see any at list in U.K. , and they would sell quickly.
until cars are sitting for a while below list, it's hard to say Porsche have caused a problem?

I can't really believe people are suggesting that Porsche made too many 991RS just because they can't sell the cars at or indeed over list a couple of years after using and running them.

PAG made quite a good number of GT cars, how's that a bad thing as it means for most (non UK) people you don't need to crawl through broken glass to get an allocation of a car. Unless you're a VIP type who can get anything and everything, do you want the car or do you want over list residuals?

I dont believe aswell in the crazy numbers that are thrown here in there...but numbers dont lie.... there's a very large choice of 991 GT3 RS available for sell... it doesnt mean Porsche built too many but maybe that too many speculators acquired some cars for profit and are now willing to take their losses because it didnt worked out the way they wanted and they need their liquidity back... in this case Porsche responsability remain in identifying grey and official dealers that are alterating the demand.

The problem though is that the way to truly weed out the speculators is for PAG to explicitly state they will fulfill all orders say within a specified time period. but if that happened it would almost certainly cause overall residuals to be lower vs list compared to now. Look at what happened to the 6RS and 7.1/7.2RS in the same time period after launch....

Right now the way Porsche are doing things (pretending that the cars are limited and very hard to get but keep on producing them as time goes on) creates enough hype/frenzy for people wanting them that there's still enough latent demand to continue to support prices at very high levels even though as you do point out there are plenty of cars for sale.

There are 97 cars (991RS) listed on AutoScout24 in Europe
The cheapest one is asking €176,000 and has done 30,000km.
It's hard to blame Porsche for saturating the market, when the truth is that sellers aren't willing to take any kind of hit, and still want to sell above list price.

^Agreed!

I would say getting msrp for a car with less than 2,000 miles is best case scenario.

These cars with 5,000+ miles, aren't understanding their are too many garage queens for sale.

When you're spending almost $200k, another few thousand for a low mileage example is a no brainer.

The cars will move once pricing hits below msrp. And I'd be looking to unload before the .2 RS is announced, or an even bigger hit will be realized.

Best Regards,
Dave

i agree that some guys are just dreaming there... but this is not my case, i know the options are not counting much in the resale price but in my case the total price is more than fair... anyway probably also not the season for buyers to get a new track car.
