FWIW: Sad to say that my friend has not gotten the promised ride in the GT2.

Found out this today:

The GT2 is 2 wheel driven. Is not a hybrid. The intake ducts in the hood is directing air downwards (supposedly something is needing additional cooling). The front is packed with coolers and "something else".

Most importantly is how my source facial expression was when he said "You _will_ be surprised"

"We want to be fastest on the ring".

"We are well aware of what our competitors are doing".

An extra intercooler or will they go water/methanol like in the GTS?

Those intake ducts are present in the 991.2 GT3 RS too, so I would say brakes? Or an additional intercooler? But even if it is braking ducts, those ducts in the hood are quite an additional drag for something that never really was a problem (front brake cooling).

F?ck me those ducts are breaking my head, that I thought that were brake cooling ducts like the cup cars, but now that you talked about the "something else" I wonder what it is.

Did you ask, how where did they failed to not be able to do 700 and instead do the same power they did 6 years ago with the 997 gt2rs?

Extra cooling in the frunk for "something else"..

"Something else" either extra cooling for motor or battery pack for a KERS / electric drive line push through the AWD tunnel of the tub?

Liquid cooled intercoolers like on m4 GTS is my best guess.

I still think they are cooling additional battery capacity for electric turbos.

Not that is matters to much. But, did he call it gt2 or gt2rs?

Might be some confusion in the info I got today.

The one in the video is definately RS, some rumors going around about a gt2. Not really buying it, haven't seen a gt2 with a smaller wing being tested. Kobalt has spent a lot of time at the ring lately. So maybe he overheard something.

Would be surprising if they offer both specs. But, the gt3 is offerred in MT/PDK. Release of a GT3 touring version tonight.
So maybe we shouldn't be surprised.
