Can anyone confirm here for me please: in the configurator, "Wheels Painted in Satin Plaintum".

Is that the colour on this 918 Wheel?

Yes - and I'd do the black with black stitching as I did on my GT3 RS - I really like the black on black monochromatic look . I always hated the way the ''GT Silver '' stitching looked like white on the GT3 RS . It's also a little cheaper to configure an all black interior than on the 3 RS where the leather and deviated stitching was around 10K .

The allocations we received have been spoken for already as they went to the 918 clients who have a guaranteed allocation from Porsche.

We did not receive any additional allocations and we not sure if or when we will receive any additional allocations.


Looks like I'm going to have to take a chance and import it if I can find one

 

I'm with Green Lantern if you guys don't want it because it's furpy sounding or you don't like gold wheels...send it my way. I'd love to have a track beater and a time capsule.

700hp is 700hp and that sounds fun to me. Wrap the whole car and go play. Scare your passengers.

What I don't understand are the guys saying "if I cannot get PTS then I am not interested"- is that about future value/ flipping?

I do feel bad for the Aussies. Almost F12TDF money at that level once it's optioned etc.

I was told 50k in Germany.


It does not sound that bad ... compared with some silly request we saw in 2015 on the GT3 RS.


Could pull the trigger, but I just want to avoid overpay.


Plan to keep the car and use it like I did with the GT3 RS: almost 10.000 km in little over one year...


I believe it will probably be at sticker once the excitement moves on to the next "latest and greatest" ... but I would like to configure to my personal taste.

 

Sure does seem like most Pcar guys are chasing values rather than what pulls at their heart strings..

 

So if I go Blk. Then the whole bonnet is visual CF, like on the 997 GT2RS, ie no stripes other than the roof?
