Why is the lower section of the rear bumper never painted?

Porsche being practical.

Cheap and easy to replace if they are ding up by rock chips, bad parking, etc.

Same idea for the unpainted plastic front lip.

You can always paint it yourself. But if used as intended it's better bare.

I am unhappy about the new water based cooling system. Why should I have to add water to a tank? Very old fashioned and not the norm among modern day super cars. Perhaps they can offer it with a manual also to make it more of an 80s type of car.

To have that much wear n tear in a 918 means you drive it and have lots of seat time in it!!

agdee with you on the water. It seems like you get c20mins flat out on a hot day. (Less if really hot?). That's enough most times, but won't be funny if it's an optimistic estimate.

I don't think you have to add water, but you might notice a drop in power. You don't have to add fuel either but expect an even bigger power loss. I think that happened to Trakcar

You'll be smiling though when your car is still running like clockwork at the track whilst the mclarens and others are in limp mode. Porsche have a reputation for building track ready cars, if they took the effort to add this you know they did it for a reason.
