Everyone willing to pay for it ADM or not will get a car. Its not a limited numbered car with a plaque 1 of xxxxx. Anyone trying to believe different is just misleading themselves. Only thing that will limit the production is the ADM. if all dealers sold at msrp they would sell 5000+

^While I want to believe that, it's an unlikely scenario.. The limiting factors are the allocations provided to individual dealerships.. What happens if dealership A has 6 buyers but only 5 allocations? Will PCNA/PAG send them an extra allocation to make up for the shortage?

Porsche business practices are certainly confusing and I'm certain they won't be able to maintain this lack of transparency, moving forward.. (It wasn't that long ago when dealers couldn't move GT cars.. )

A couple 918 owners have come on here and shared similar statements (not limited, all those who want one will get one). and I really want it to be true, but reality is setting in and it looks like Porsche will sit on the sidelines while customers grow ever more frustrated and leave the brand entirely...

They'll never make enough of them while people think they are equivalent to buying $10 for $5...

20,000 x 991GT cars must put that equation in jeopardy before long, IMO. Saturation and lots of people taking a bath!

This just isn't accurate. My small dealer has at least 6 people with deposits for one (gathered from talking to other depositers). They're really going to deliver 6 to a tiny dealer? If they do that, then they're delivering 20-30 to large dealers. There will not be more gt2rs than gt3rs. To me, the math won't work.

At some point CJ is going to set us straight with the dealer perspective....

Personally, I think dealer size and rewards for past sales has very little, if anything, to do with GT car production and distribution. It may have in the past; but, right now, Porsche is faced with a more urgent requirement. It needs to make more money by selling more 2 door sports cars. The demand for 2 door sports cars is currently high for their GT cars and slack for their 911/718 cars. Under these conditions, IMO, Porsche will produce and send cars to fulfill the GT demand dealers say they have (V070 customers). Regardless of dealer size.

When are they going to build them? I'm the second allocation and the build date is November 2018. I would think that is already the end of the production window.

Anyone who thinks this is a limited production vehicle in anyway is delusional. Its not numbered so its not limited. End of story.

No one has said it is a numbered production. End of story.

Not sure what your end game here is.

Yes no one said numbered production. But by what im reading people keep insisting ultra low production. Not true. Car is special because what it can do not because how many are being produced.

So I'm harping on the "Dealers are not getting enough allocations to meet demand"

I spoke with my dealer and I will not have an opportunity at an allocations.

Cash Buyer. No need for financing or value appreciation.. Still can't get a fuking allocation.

Dear Porsche Canada... I was willing to throw $400k your way but you told me "**** OFF".. So off I go..

No way I am paying material ADM on a $300k plus PDK car. I am working my dealer, but I am not optimistic. Well, maybe the market crashes and I can stroll in like in 2010 or whenever it was when I was offered a RS 4.0 when I asked about getting a RS 3.8 frog ....

I think the best bet is to sit back and wait and see. Hopefully they keep building GT cars so the demand goes down and they just become like every other car out there not stupid speculator/flipper/bubble wrap cars. I do think if the ADMs disappear due to lack of demand it is a self-fulfilling prophesy (or death spiral) and the demand goes down further taking prices with it.

I don't know. My guess is GT car production will replace 911/718 production as the year progresses.

The money incentive is obviously there to do that. Producing & Selling 3000 GT2RS cars @ say, $320,000 per instead of producing & selling 3000 911's @, say, 140,000 per, gets Porsche revenue ahead by $540,000,000.00.

That pays a lot of bills.
