991 GT2RS

300 base, makes this decision very easy. . .no interest.
If it's 350 with options - they may not even sell out.

it almost looks like a 991 and a nissan GTR had an offspring to me with that front....I really wanted to like this car, but aesthetically, I'm not a fan. Too much clashing between the hard lines and softness....

I'll be happy with my manual GT3.2 and a GT3RS.2 afterwards. I can't deny it is a gorgeous car, but there is no way I will be getting an allocation and I don't see any reason to be spending way, way over MSRP for a non-numbered car.

I've been #1 on my dealers list for this with a deposit since before the 918 was for sale. But, now hearing the chances of me getting this car are very very slim since I didn't get a 918. This was the same dealer that treated me very well with a PTS 991 RS at MSRP, no games.
I like the car, but can't see spending $320-$350.
So, I will be ordering this. Miss my Speciale. This wont replace it, but will help me forget about not getting a GT2RS.

Yeah, there's a dozen issues - weight being one of them. But in terms of pure acceleration nothing beats the instantaneous torque of an electric motor. People complained about the weight of the 918, until they drove it. The only point to the GT2RS is brutal acceleration and raw power, and within those parameters, the electric motor can't be beat.

I wouldn't be suprised if those openings just before front wheel wells are part of active aero package. Like so that they're closed by flaps (and all air through radiators exit to wheel wells) up to something like 100-120 kmh and open up to Vmax, to relieve pressure in front of radiators and wheel wells and increase front downforce. The opening speed would be related to adequate radiator cooling flow.
Anyway radiators seem to be angeled in a way that it's impossible to completely vent them through those openings, like it was done in 996 GT3RSs.

FWIW, I was told $350k CAD (many months back) starting ... Out of my range, but hoping to score one in the family!

So if/when they announce 700hp and a sub 7 min ring time, do people's opinions change?
