Looks great! Amazing what those 5 things can accomplish.

I'm always in admiration of the spaces I see on here, typically in the US. To have the kind of garage space or land you see here in a city in the Toronto area, you'd be looking at $3MM+ house (rare to have existing 3 car/door garage) at least to have an existing exact fit 3 car garage. Space to build a 3-4 car garage would require spending more to get the land, of which is limited. Need to move outside the cities into rural areas, which is inconvenient.

Thanks!

The bay area isn't all that different from what you describe... Moving here and buying a house was quite frustrating because my one requirement was to have a 4+ car garage and so few houses have that, even at very high price points. It's amazing how many $5M+ homes there are here that have a wine cellar (everyone in NorCal has a stupid wine cellar), a swimming pool and a crappy 2 car garage... It was a painful process - and I ended up with a useless empty wine cellar and a swimming pool I didn't want...

But at least I got my 4 car garage(s)! And now they even look nice!

Yeah I could see that. Convert the wine cellar to a 1:43 model room, especially if it has glass walls. In my city, homes that are $5MM plus might have extra high ceiling in the garage, could be single or double, tandem, or the rare occasion of underground lift. Just really depends when they were built and how. 4 car is really really rare at $3M-$9M as is 3 car. Guess cars aren't priorities for these people, or they have more storage off site, other houses etc. Trend is also maximize livable space, small landscaped property, less grass etc.

I have a 2 car that I've improved the walls with drywall and white paint and better lighting. Floor is original concrete, so not the greatest. I put in a lift. Would like to do more, but moving is on the horizon so loathe to spend more money on the garage and then have to remove the lift for the work to be done. Doesn't seem worth it for 1-2 years more years of use.

Don’t I know it… We were delayed a year dealing with the county to get our permit through, and then another year because of the COVID contractor rush. That said, our project is moving now… we pour concrete on Monday for our 9 car garage. I can’t wait.

All of these amazing garages inspire me to clean up my shop, add some really cool lighting, get up to speed on my artwork and finish it off with some really good furniture and a big screen tv.. Then I get up to to the shop and stand there looking at all my crap and I grab some keys and go for a ride.. Someday,, maybe, I will do all of the above ?

Hi Simon,

I'm in Sydney. Like the look of those hex lights. Do you have the details of where you got them?

Thanks,

Adrian

Got AC in, brightened the lighting up a bit and got cabinets installed, hard to see in the shadow, the lighting didn’t quite come out bright enough. Still a work in progress, need to remove vents and fan, now that the AC is in, and paint it.

I have another 2’ of clearance above the ceiling, so it’s optional to put lifts in. Perhaps glass in the carport for a display car but the breeze is nice also..

Still have bulldozers in the yard to install generator, tanks, landscape lighting, gate and stuff but when done I’ll redo the driveway when they are done..

Nice to have a garage that only houses the cars…

Porsche really nailed it on that Gentian blue color and RS Spyder wheels. I couldn't resist and just bought one (no pccbs though) a few weeks ago. Great daily driver!
