What's the depth of your concrete pad?

Mine is 6", rebar (FYI, can't do post tension slab with these lifts). I don't have one of these lifts (yet). Just did my due diligence before I decide on a conventional 4 post vs single.

Their website says no to post tension slab, but when I called, they told be it could be installed on post tension if the slab was xrayed for placement. I haven't moved forward with a lift yet, but anyone interested in the single post should inquire directly if you have post tension.

does the soil In your area drive the need for PTS? Otherwise, all you need is high pressure concrete and enough thickness for 2 post, I poured 8” under pads which was overkill...best of luck.

I have a conventional rebar slab, not a PTS.

That makes life easier. What kind of lift will you install?

Among the multitudes of options, I've narrowed it down to a Bendpak HD-9 or one of the ACL single posts. 4 post is tried and true but occupies a sizable footprint. I have the room but it would eliminate the ability to have a small area for seating. Single post leaves more floor space, but one, it's considerably more expensive, and two, due to its location in the left most bay of a 3 car garage, I would have to back the cars in or put the post between bays (not ideal). What I really need to figure out first is flooring.

Good luck with your decision! You can’t overthink these things. I have the 4-post but end up using my 2-post a lot more! Here is ‘72 meeting it grandson the ‘94 turbo.
