Just moved into a new place and a garage update is the first thing on my list. It's an oversized detached two car garage with A-frame roof, roughly 600 st. ft. with roughly 13 ft. of clearance. I had the floors epoxied and walls / trim are prepped for painting today. The next item on my list is lighting and dry wall / insulation for the ceiling. Would love to get recommendations for hardwired LEDs from folks who have gone that route - what brand / how many for a space of this size. Given the ceiling is unfinished currently, recessed lighting is an option as well. I was also considering a garage ventilation fan in the ceiling to keep things cooler during the summer - curious if others have gone that route and have any thoughts. Once that's wrapped up, cabinets and potentially a lift are in order (may need the door re-tracked to make that possible).
What is the lowest clearance anyone has? I have a beam that runs across my ceiling (and I see a few garages in this thread) its about 117 inches from the floor to the beam then 155 inches from the beam to the back wall, Has anyone successfully cleared a beam like this with a lift?
I just bought this house and I'm trying to store a 991 and a M2 and I'm worried it won't clear.

You have to measure the height of your cars to know for sure but that's almost 10 feet which is plenty for a lift.

10ft is tight for a lift, my gt3 and m coupe barely fit with 10 ft 4 inches of clearance. What may help here is when you park the cars, park it with the hood underneath the beam, that looks like it should give you plenty of clearance as then the roof would be able to go higher..

My beam is exactly 10 ft and I have lots of room to spare.
How did I miss this thread for so long!?! Here are some shots of my recently-built garage. Cabinets are Baldhead out of Oregon; floor is porcelain, HD-9 lift...
GT2Rs just visiting for the day, but looks right at home.
