Out of left field my wife decided it was time for a new house, well, those tiles are coming with me. Outside of the ones on the cut edges, they can all be completely repurposed.

It took me months to get through this thread and now I'm moving on from my current garage (housing market is scorching in FL so couldn't resist the temptation to go ahead and build).
Which has the bigger engine?
Old setup
It's a typical three car that I put epoxy down on when we built the house. Love the color, look, and texture but in FL it gets waaaay too slippery after rain.
I'm looking to build a three car (+ man cave/gym and attic) prior to building our forever home on some land my wife's family has. We'll probably end up with six "stalls" between the two, but I'll make the detached garage tall (and wide) enough for a lift so I can get to seven.
Also putting in a level 2 charger setup (we have an Aviator Grand Touring on order to replace our Pacifica Hybrid) and as sad as it is in terms of driving feel, electricity is the way of the future, so no harm in being prepared. My wife has requested a big *** fan in it because our autistic son loves fans. Past that, I'm looking at a blank slate. If anyone has recommendations for architects in the greater Jacksonville area, shoot me a message. The cars are going to sit outside until the garage is built 😕 so I want to get a move on but not rush it. If nothing else, get it built for storage then allow for upgrades.

I was surprised to see they talk about porcelain tile getting patinaed, and that they treat the surface to prevent that. Wonder if it's true or BS? I go in and out of my garage daily and there is nothing that would show that, but it's only been a year. I mentioned before I recently tiled a shower with a non-slip faux distressed wood tile and it would have looked really really bad-*** in my garage. But I'm happy with what I got.
All these guys with Swisstrax and Racedeck appear to be happy and the stuff holds up.

this was a great lead...i spoke w/ the company and perused their site
this stuff is the ultimate porcelain that can stand up to an atomic bomb (well maybe not but u get my drift)
and very reasonable material price, about $4/sq ft prior to any negotiation...they sell the grout and adhesive they want used and it all arrives
i'm leaning towards this permanent solution using the non skid version
anyone else have experience w/ this product?

I actually started pulling up tile in preparation for our move and was impressed with how much crap it traps in those channels. Never thought to run a vacuum through as it always felt like a perfectly clean garage floor as I'm regularly out there barefooted.
Can't speak highly enough of these.

Also if you're shopping, buying them through Obsessed Garage is cheaper than going direct... Sometimes they'll run a promo and it's equal.
In addition, if you join their "hex" program for $240/yr, you'll get 10% off everything in their inventory for the year (minus Milwaukee tools and Cabinets). Something to keep in mind if your spend surpasses $2400 (which doesn't take much)
