Passed out, but watching the last hour. I’m sure I missed a lot of action the last 5 hours or so..

15 mins to go, the Porsches look helpless this year.

Thanks Peter,

When we got the provisional results it turned out that we where disqualified. Suddenly the beer got stuck in the throat - from hi to low in 1s

Then after one or two hours we convinced the race director that they where wrong(!) and life was brought back to us. Seeing grown men cry is a special thing.

So new result is P3 in class and p63 in total

Why was we disqualified?

In the N24H each driver must drive at least 15 race laps (even though the race was shortened so much in this case).

We didn't know that the red flag lap didn't count as a race lap so we made sure that all drivers had their 15 laps.
Race directors opinion was that one of our drivers just did 14 laps.
That was the reason.

Why did they revoke the disqualification?
Basically we told them that our opinion was that we did more than 15x4 laps as total and that we easily could have done the missing lap.
Besides that one could think that when they removed 9.5 hours from the race that the 15 car limit would be lowered.
Race director clarified during the night that the 15 lap limit would stay the same.
One would think that at the same they could have mentioned that the red flag lap didn't count. They did not.

There where a total of 12 cars disqualified because of the "At least 15 race laps"-rule. Amongst them professional race teams like Frikadelli Racing.
Teams that missed the limit by more than 1 lap stayed disqualified.

Amazing picture that really shows the greatness of Nürburgring and the Eifel mountains.

So how it is to drive the most rewarding race track in the world in the night - in the wet - with no spectators around the Nordschleife?
Dark is one way to describe it

Last year we drove another teams car and this year our own. The lights last year was bad. Really bad. So we installed extra lights on our own car and also upgraded the headlights to Xenons.

The lights you see in the video is mainly the extra lights. They are pointing outwards - maybe a bit too much - to enable us to see the apexes. They where really of good help.

The two screens that you see in the video is one screen which provides alerts when there is an yellow flag situation ahead. The other one is giving us oil and water temp, speed and laptimes.
The warning system was a great addition in theory but an annoyance in the dark.

Scary visibility!
Do you know the track well enough to locate yourself at any time?
Impressive work
