I needed to replace my discs because warranty extension.

Funny enough the left front was grey and the right front was all metal.

(Sorry for the bad photo)

Anyone knows anything about this?

This discs bellhousing is darkgrey

And discs bellhousing is natural steel

This weekend there are two NLS-races :-)

So in order to prepare for the race I had to bite the bullet and do some test laps.

Finally it seems s if our over heating problem is over. So looking forward to be able to focus on driving and not oil temp.

7 laps in a row still makes me hot :-)

Strange about the discs. One surface casted and the other machined. Do they have the same part no? On my GT3 991.2 all discs are the casted surface on the bells.

It is strange. Unfortunately I ordered the discs last year and didn't look in the boxes what it was in them until yesterday when I needed to put them on the car. I'm sure that it doesn't matter but I prefer when things looks the same.

Friend of mine claims that the front discs for the 991.1 RS is of much higher quality than the ones they made for the 991.2 RS. (I can't back this up though...)

What do the current discs on the car look like? (machined surface look a bit higher quality IMO)

Been lazy. Sorry about that.

Today it is time to do the Scuderia Hanseat course at the Nürburgring. Always fun!

It is a good week for me: Did the 6h VLN race on Saturday, TF on Sunday, Monday to Wednesday it is SH as mentioned above and then two trackdays.

Here some of the cars participating:

Mr E tries the fastest bike on the Ring.

You've probably heard of the The Seven Wonders of the World.

In my opinion there are eight wonders. Let me proudly present Andy Carlisle, number eight:

Waiting for the Ring to open.

Wife approving something.

The NLS (VLN) car getting ready for race again.

I was hit pretty bad on the right front wheel by a Audi GT3 car in Bellof. 160 kph. Pushed onto the grass. Luckily we could source a new part and continue the race. This was in the last 6h NLS race. We where at a very good p6 in class when this happened. We ended up 12th in class. Bummer.

Scuderia Hanseat Drivers training. I'm passanger. Wife driver.

Pflantzgarten - the most beautiful section of the Nordschleife.

I picked some flowers at Adenauer Forst. These grow to the left of the lefthand exit curb.

997 + 991 is perfect

This weekend it is the Nürburgring 24H race.

It is going to be historic, as many other events this year, as there will only be spectators on the GP-track.

Unfortunately Porsche won't be well representated in the big classes because of COVID:

http://www.dailysportscar.com/2020/0...-24-hours.html

This is going to be my second N24H race, this time in me and my partners NLS car. Last year we payed for a seat in a race team.

We will be four drivers. It me, my partner, A local guy from Nürburg and another Rennlister.

We have invested in some extra lights to help us they the night.

Some of you might remember this video from last year - I hope it will be better now

Car is starting to get ready:
