That's going to be a beautiful car when it's done.
After 50 years of 911 restoration and modification, Singer has done the impossible and found a niche that no one else had thought of. And like a lot of great innovations, you see it and you wonder how it is that no one thought of it sooner.

I don't know if much was left on the table in terms of what driving the 911R is like. But in case anyone wants to read more, here's a comparison I wrote up for flatsixes.com about the differences between the 911R and the 991 GT3 RS.

(I'm sure it will happen sooner or later, but I really want to drive a Singer at Willow Springs.)

Thanks for your perspective and insights into the downforce and front end grip on these cars. I enjoyed reading your article. Not entirely surprising to hear you praise pdk on track. But nice to hear you confirm that mt is the way to go for driving pleasure elsewhere (apart from stop and go traffic no doubt). Tough choice!!

Thank you. i looked at it again, and it sounded like I didn't like the 6-speed on the track. That's not the case. But the PDK is so effortless that you get a little spoiled. Especially while you're learning a new track, you simply don't have to think about anything more than what gear you want to be in.
But it does add weight. And it takes away a small piece of the overall driving experience.
