Not me I'm worried about.
It's the brave drift champions here. Lots of cars spinning, so I'm driving in the mirror.
Very hard to get the temps up in tires and brakes..

I'm having fun at least learning the track a bit, I have 4 days at this little short track so not rushing it.

some trips for snow - TC off, pull fuse for ABS (there's a reason Audi quattros came with a switch) and stay in high gear, all comes down to momentum, feel and deftness of reactions- can be great fun if you don't over extend your self i.e keep straight line speed down and avoid the brakes and enjoy the slides through corners at 15mph at max angle of attack.

Hope Chris brings the Ozzy weather with him... not to rub it in its been 30+ last few days (our spring)

Not a chance that I'd be driving on track in that weather (unless paid to do so and with zero exposure to damage costs). Risk/reward -> infinity.

It's stopped snowing.
Still can't get temp up in tires and it's a tricky very short track with many walls.
Pads starting to create material transfer shudder again.

Just cruising the line. Finally understand why the other guys have grip, it's a Yokohama event and the are all in rain slicks lol.

Feel a little less slow now, at least I got under 2 minutes

Hey Peter

Shutter most likely due to brake temps to low. Try to get them hot.
Another issue might be that due to the extreme cold and the excessive temp difference from hot to cold the brake disc might have warped.

Do you feel it in the Steering and in the Pedal?

It went lesser when I was able to use the brakes more today.
No problem, it was crazy slippery all day.

I think more in the steering.

Too bad you didn't trade that last set of Sport Cups for some Pilot SuperSports. I have run those in cold wet conditions and they do pretty well.

Tricky track to learn and even more so in the snow / rain.
Not too excited about the track, but maybe because I cant nail it down.

Drove plenty of laps but towards the end the track got way slipperier, maybe someone leaked something but the guys parked around me all went lower the last couple hours.

It's a tricky little track, and to me the fun bits are getting the (not obvious) lines and rolling through the off camber corners right, and getting good drive through that steep uphill right.. Can't really do any of those things in the snow..

Forecast is better for the weekend, hopefully even a bit sunny on Sunday.

Peter. Re the pad transfer issue have had this recently when I did 3 dry track days on new pads (endless = far from endless!!). I think I may have warped the front rotors but was hard to tell as it appears later it may be transfer. I just keep on driving through it and it didn't affect overall brake performance. Threw harder pads on (oem left overs) and it started to clean the issue up nicely ) have now replaced front rotors and put new oem pads on ( original discs had equivalent of perhaps 10 plus track days on them). They could have gone another 2-3 but decided on tbd cautious side. If you have transfer or even run out my advice drive through it. If it's not upsetting abs then it will just give vibration through wheel and pedal and transmit a bit if vibration to cabin but they will still do the job...

Stay safe.
