Used 991 GT3 Market

My list of factors that could influence price of a GT3:
General state of economy/outlook
Continued availability of cheap money
Overall level of demand for high end cars
Supply/demand imbalance for GT3
Speculation on 991.2/992 specs (manual, NA, etc.)
Supply demand imbalance for RS
Time of year (entering Fall/Winter)
Market location
A lot more...
Now somebody gaze into their crystal ball and tell me how those will combine to influence GT3 prices in the next 1 week, month, year, whatever...
STG, the subject of prices is not taboo around here. When you and others recently make posts that state as fact that the market is soft or that used GT3s shouldn't sell for MSRP (or more), it gives the impression that you are arguing for prices to be lower when in reality they aren't. What the future holds is unknown. I have no idea what my car will be worth this time next year, but it could be MSRP, it could be 10-20% lower, who knows. Right now I know I could easily get my money back or more (not that I am a seller). With the seasons changing the market will soften to some degree, will have to wait and see what will happen come Springtime next year.

I just thought this thread might be a good place to post cars for sale for those looking to pick one up. I love the GT cars. I can't control prices, nor do I care. Not trying to upset anyone either.
I've just pointed out some of the realities and misconceptions by talking to owners that are/have recently sold and by observing. Talk to them, and just don't look at dealer asking prices.
I just find the whole thing interesting and the business/marketing aspect of it relating to Porsche.
Obviously this whole allocation thing has rubbed many long term enthusiasts the wrong way as well who have been loyal to Porsche for 10-20yrs and dozens of cars later. They can't get the cars they want without being thrown over the coals.
I hope some of these Rennlisters who have decided to sell find new homes for their cars to another deserving owner.

As in terms of value I see the base price at $130k a pretty compelling value entry compared to the other options around- used GT3's etc. The Turbo has gotten pretty lofty imo and I would just rather try a GT3 to go along with the Cayenne S that I'll climb in today and head to CO if I knew I was getting a car.

Here's my prediction. Based on fact the newest and greatest will drive down prices as demand for newest and greatest is high.
End of 2016 gt3 ( not rs!!!) trading for 100k or less.
Guys it's happened with every generation. The 997 are strong but below msrp. same with 996. Rs are exception but even rs traded on a normal depreciation curve until the run up in manual and mezger. But that isn't normal and that will not apply to the 991gt3
Dedicated pdks track build for me once they are under 100k
Until then I continue to enjoy my 997rs as Porsche intended, on the track.

Depreciation yes, but I don't see them going that low, since owners can't replace them with anything comparable for such a low price, and it sounds like 991.2 won't be much better than 991.1. The 991 GT3 being reasonably priced in the first place will keep the price of a used one up, though I do expect heavily-optioned cars to take a bigger hit.

I don't mean to impact someone's sale, but this is a good example of a car poised to sell a good bit below MSRP. 170K means about 40K in options which weren't selected by the new buyer, some of which may even be things the new buyer doesn't want, so the question isn't how much discount on the 40K but rather how much credit for the options (i.e., start from 0K, not 40K). 165K for a lightly used '14 GT3 seems high compared a brand new '16 RS with base price only 10K more.

Apples and oranges. Manual and mezger. These cars were well under 100 at one point. Then 991 was announced. No manual. No mezger. 997 prices shot up and 996 followed suit. It defies logic. But 991 has none of those things. Right or wrong!

Production numbers are also around 1.5 to 2x that of the 997.2 - the customer market seems to be different - more latest and greatest buyers this time around which is providing support today that will probably dissipate pretty quickly. To me there are more negative factors than positives for the 991.1 outlook.
Being honest - a lot of those same factors apply to the 991.1 RS, but I've still ordered one.
The biggest support for the 991.1 GT3 would be no more NA engine. I still believe it will be, but the RS provides the same exposure in a better form.

If we get a manual in the 1.2 things are going to get weird. I have a low optioned '15 GT3 and am sitting pretty well. I am interested in .2 RS however in another low spec. Someone care to stab at the spec of a .2RS for me?
