Reference Guide to PTS

Thanks, I enjoyed reading about the history of Exclusive. I hope they find ways to make it more accessible to customers. I really like the way Special Wishes used to do really crazy stuff. Ski racks, rally spec, IROC, Sebring exhaust, etc.
Now, what was the option code for fake fur exterior again?!
Oops, I meant this one...
Furriest factory-built Pcar EVER!
(I can't believe Porsche approved this one!! It's for REAL!! http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessori...ve/philosophy/)

You are kidding me, right?
But wait a minute, the moderators told me everyone at the gt3 forum was an Ivy League graduate...
...and they said all the men were good looking, their women strong & their children above average!
Is this also not true?

Sonderwunsche / Porsche Exclusives
I think there is a history of special wishes cars that goes back at least to the mid-fifties. I have a 58 Carrera GT Coupe that was delivered with very specific rally equipment - heated windscreen, etc. I also have a 964 RS N/GT with many 'sonderwunsche' features, including a roll cage covered in leather by Porsche and options not available on the N/GT in the day. It is one of about 20, each a different color, ordered by a private sponsor for a race series in Macau that never happened. From Eduardo's post, it sounds like Porsche Exclusives is becoming more of a secondary option list rather than a real customization. The PTS program is likely the most exclusive option and it sounds like it is not a part of Porsche Exclusives, although I worked with Melissa Witek on PTS on two recent cars. When I ordered my 4.0, I was able to get the P O R S C H E graphic on the tail in black rather than silver, and a color unique to the 4.0, although it was a 73 RS color. It also has about 20 obscure exclusive options. When I was ordering my 991 RS, the factory seemed a bit less accommodating with special interior options (I wanted the platinum microfiber on the lower dash as well as the seats and doors).
Other manufactures do have historic colors with significant history. My wagon is DB904 which is a mid-fifties Gullwing color - non-metallic midnight blue. The Porsche 'safety' colors from the sixties - a result of studies into which color cars were involved in the fewest accidents - are terrifically nostalgic. However, an inordinately high percentages of new Porsches are black, silver, and white - just like every other manufacturer.

Haha, you must be quoting me! And yes, I agree, it could be Miami. They're close enough, depending on the photo. Just reposting what was said on PH.

I'm a little confused by these additional stitching colours. They don't really match the standard available colours. UV and acid green stitching? Why would anyone pay extra for platinum or rhodium over the free gt silver?

Looks like Venetian Blue to me.

Why the additional deviated stitching so late in the game...
****
perhaps the customer that orders this will get a discount
for having a deviated stitching that doesn't live to its
name...it will not 'deviate'. But “that dog don't hunt”
Southern US type humor will probably be lost on our
friends at 'Porsche Exclusive, even if some are indeed
based in Atlanta!
To refresh everyone's memory, here are the new colors
in deviated stitching being offered:
Graphite Blue
Acid Green
Racing Yellow
Black
Platinum Grey
Guards Red
Rhodium Silver
Carmine Red
The original deviating stitching for the RS remains:
Lava Orange
GT Silver
Here is what I think perhaps is going on. 'Porsche Exclusive'
has finally negotiated some new distinctive thread colors that
are reliable & dependable (warranty worry free) for seats &
interior panels. And these colors have been approved by use
by the seat subcontractors - Lear, Recaro, etc. I can attest
that I have been personally pushing for a 'green' deviated
stitching for years now, starting with appeals to Sascha
Glaeser in 2012! But I am troubled that there is no 'bright'
blue to go with 'Riviera', 'Mexico', 'Voodoo', etc. The approved
'Graphite Blue' is not that strong of a color...although I am in
love with the exterior paint version of that color, a hue that
was first reported here on Rennlist (& perhaps anywhere
else in the web) after my visit to Leipzig in July 2015.

In reality, 'Porsche Exclusive' are probably about to allow
these deviating stitching colors loose on all the 991/981
models, even though many are already in the approved
list. And the special colored seat piping option too, which
is totally 'new' for the 991 & 981.
And before offering these new options on the lesser models,
they perhaps decided to throw a bone at the late allocation
.1 991 gt3 RS crowd, trying to compensate for the fact they
are not getting PTS.
Of particular note is that no new options in deviating
stitching is being offered on the new or old allocations
re: the Cayman gt4s. This I find 'peculiar'...and a bit
troubling.
Take it all with a grain of salt. It is just my dos centavos
for what it's worth.

Rennlister & Porsche dealer Geoff Isringhausen Jr supplied me
for all of you here at Rennlist with this interesting piece of
information to add to what Charlie (farfromcommongt3) told
us two days ago on this thread:
The additional deviating stitching colors to the .1 991 gt3 RS are:
Graphite Blue
Acid Green
Racing Yellow
Black
Platinum Grey
Guards Red
Rhodium Silver
Carmine Red
The original stitching remains:
Lava Orange
GT Silver

Door pulls are also available in those colors...but cost extra.

So, some of the above is not quite correct.

That in itself is news to me. I would have thought the RS PTS builds would be locked by this point (e.g. Dec PTS builds). Hope you can take advantage of PTS plus some of these new options that have dropped! Would you mind sharing when your production dates are scheduled to be? And was this one of the "extra" allocations? Thanks and congrats!
