So, some of the above is not quite correct.
Here is where the information came from. It's two sources, both from
folks with US dealer connections. Hopefully they & others in the know
will join the conversation on this thread & expand on it...or correct it.
I don't run a 'Genius Bar' like at Apple. Everyone here needs to do their
fair part & help out with the information posted so that the readers can
trust it.

Deviated stitch IS in fact available for the RS starting on 11-1
production (week 44 and beyond)...
In the recently open deviated stitching window (cxx naturally
and $5690 usd but NOT including headrest model designation, door pulls, floor mats, 12" marker, OR exclusive options
unless specified and PAID DEARLY for again via cxx) the available
colors include:
Acid Green (more on that in a min)
Racing Yellow
Guards Red
White
Black
...Now however, since last week, the configurator has removed the
delay on acid green stitching and it is openly order able on any RS
build! So for those of you that missed on the very limited PTS window,
you now have been given the opportunity to customize the interior of
your car to a level that the early RS orders were never allowed to! BUT
don't make the mistake that this client did in ordering his car and miss
out on doing the cxx door pulls, and 12" marker, unless your
stitch color matches the 12" which is the clearest indication in this
case that the stitch is in fact yellow! Expensive but worth it!
... Hope you found this helpful and happy to assist anyone in their
spec if they would like!

The additional deviating stitching colors to the .1 991 gt3 RS are:
Graphite Blue
Acid Green
Racing Yellow
Black
Platinum Grey
Guards Red
Rhodium Silver
Carmine Red
The original stitching remains:
Lava Orange
GT Silver

Door pulls are also available in those colors...but cost extra.
***
Seat piping in those same colors (the 8 additional deviating stitching
hues & perhaps the two original) is also available...but only on the 18
way Sport Seat Plus option! Cost might be as high as US$ 11K for this
option alone!

me.

From Charlie's post above:

That in itself is news to me. I would have thought the RS PTS builds would be locked by this point (e.g. Dec PTS builds). Hope you can take advantage of PTS plus some of these new options that have dropped! Would you mind sharing when your production dates are scheduled to be? And was this one of the "extra" allocations? Thanks and congrats!
The GT3 RS PTS order in question was approved for color prior to the mid-2015 cutoff date. The order had an October 2015 production date, but the PTS delay was added to extend it. There has (so far) been no production date assigned by PCNA/PAG and the order is still simmering in V170 status. Therefore, it can be changed until the status progresses.
It sure seems like the PTS GT3 RS cars have been pushed to the end of production if they are not one of the "standard" PTS colors. Mine is Birch Green (253) and has yet to move into a locked status.

Thanks for that info. There's hope for others with cars of the same build status that they may also be able to make a few changes. Btw it's the "less than" in my username that screws up quoting me--sorry (not my fault exactly but I'm Canadian so am compelled to apologize given the opportunity).
Has it ever been definitively established which Slate Grey was on Steve McQueen's last Porsche (a 1976 930 Turbo Carrera) sold for $1.95 million by Mecum in August?
Some info suggests that it was paint code 615 (listed as Slate Grey 6601 on the current version of the PTS list) while other info indicates it was Slate Grey 6801 which may or may not be 615.
Plenty of nice Porsches. Here's a couple PTS specials. Lightning Green...
Lightning Green looked outstanding in person Bright, but works well

Oaktown, I don't suppose you could confirm the colour?

From what Oaktown remembers of name he was told, plus the discussion we had earlier last week when the photos
of a car similar/same first surfaced at Rennlist (Nov 8th),
the color is most likely ''Light Green' / 'Birch Green' / 'Lichtgrün'. All are the names for the same Porsche color, code '253'.
'Lichtgrün', when it was approved for PTS in the 991/981 many years ago (circa 2012), was translated to 'Light Green' in
English because they forgot that the historical Porsche name for that hue is 'Birch Green'.

What I find fascinating & curious about Oaktown report on this sighting
is his photo of the interior...
This is not the same interior as what we originally saw reported on Nov 8th.
That interior had deviated stitching (which turned out to be 'Racing Yellow'
by some accounts) on the seats:
This one sports 'Acid Green' piping on the seats. So it's kind of puzzling.
We are either seeing two different RS's or they have switched the interiors
for some reason. We do know that piping in a few different colors is now an
option available on the RS, so we knew the possibility existed. It's just that
we have never seen it before on a 991...until now.

Agree - but have you seen any pictures of Y71 renngrun/Fast Green (i.e. close to the Lightning Green name)? It's a new color from what I can tell, but I've not looked into too much. I'm wondering if it is to Birch Green what Miami Blue is to Mexico/Riviera and will be a new special color?

Also, I believe it was reported that piping would be available on 18 ways. Those clearly look like LWBs.
In terms of the birch green, it's seems to be another example of the clearcoat changing the color in the sun. Love indoor photos of birch, but don't like the yellow shift in outdoor shots. So I guess if I like the birch indoors, I should order the gelb grun because that will look closest to indoor birch when the car is outside?

In the 5/12/2015 approved list, Racing Green DBR9 was under feasibility and the information on it from PAG was a bit 'fuzzy' -
no idea if it was an uni/solid color or a metallic. And what was DBR9 referring to?
By the time the 7/2015 approved PTS list came out, it had been clarified somewhat:
It's a Metallic, not a Uni/Solid color. And there is no mention of DBR9 but instead of 5019D. The
997 era 'RacingGreenMetallic' was color code 22G/J1. That 997 era color looks like the one I have
posted below, which I originally included in a gt4 thread on PTS:
By the way, where did you find the Y71 color code? I don't see a Y71 on my latest 7/2015 PAG PTS
list marked 'Confidential'. The newly approved PTS 'RacingGreenMetallic' color code is Y68, not Y71.

I have a 9/15 list that has it on it, never saw it before and it never came up as in feasibility. It's listed as "Renngrun / Fast Green" code Y71. Fast Green seems pretty close to Lightning Green so just a guess there.
Y71 - 'Fast Green' on the 7/2015 PTS approved list...

If you do have a 9/15 PTS approved list, Nate, what else does it say re: that color? Is a Uni color I presume...
What are the changes from the 7/15 list re: newly approved, rejected colors? Or new colors under feasibility?
Is it also marked 'For Internal Use Only - Confidential'?
By the way, we are part of the greater Porsche family and
are using this 'list' for the holiest of all possible 'internal uses' -
to order a product from a company! So we should be able to
discuss this list at our forum, don't you think?

PS I don't believe there is a color named 'Lighting Green'.
There is 'Light Green' in PAG's translation to English from
the German 'Lichtgrün'. I would suggest that we try to
keep the names straight to avoid confusing folks not familiar
with common PTS color designations at Porsche. This is,
after all, called a 'Reference Guide to PTS' thread!
