Reference Guide to PTS

That is awesome news for those of you with rs on order! Farfromcommon can't wait to see what you've done. If you don't mind i would love to see your spec. For my education since no rs allocation. Thanks for the very detailed info!!!

Good that they're adding options to it. I think my Viper Green will still look best with Lava stitching so I'm sticking to it.
I wouldn't be surprised if these stitching options are matching stitching/decal sets on the incoming 911r.

Good info to have...unfortunately my lock date was on 1 Nov so UV w/ LO interior shall be the way I go. I'm just glad that I'm finally closer to getting it given that I've had this allocation for months now.

Evo magazine quick drive vid of the 991.2 also Miami Blue

hard to tell in that video with the sun and shadows and washed out colors, but Miami seems to have more yellow in it that Mexico, Riviera, etc. Will be interesting to see them side by side eventually.

Trompe-l'œil...yes, perhaps!
Gents-
Let's remove the mystery ONCE AND FOR ALL.
Deviated stitch IS in fact available for the RS
starting on 11-1 production (week 44 and beyond)
I know this beyond a shadow of a doubt, and
have even gotten a confirmation of deviated
stitch on my recently specced garage queen
UV RS lovingly referred to by a involved with
its build as The Joker.
In the recently open deviated stitching window
(cxx naturally and $5690 usd but NOT including
headrest model designation, door pulls, floor
mats, 12" marker, OR exclusive options unless
specified and PAID DEARLY for again via cxx)
the available colors include:
Acid Green (more on that in a min)
Racing Yellow
Guards Red
White
Black

you have a close connection to a US Porsche
dealership, please keep us posted of these
changes as soon as you find out. Either post
them directly on a thread of your own or here
on this thread. Or you can pm/email me & I
will posted it for you with the appropriate credit
the person that gave us the information.
A few questions for you:
1) These are deviating stitching colors in addition
to the two currently available stitching colors
on the RS - 'gt silver' and 'lava orange', right?
2) If they include 'Black' deviated stitching, which
can only be seen in contrast to a lighter colored
alcantara, microfiber or leather, does Porsche now
(after Nov 1st changes) offer anything else fabric/
leather wise in the RS's interior other than what
was offered prior to Nov 1st?
3) Is 'Ultraviolet' available to order on an .1 gt3 RS
after November 2015 production?

As for the stitching, again, with near certainty, it is in racing yellow.
While it was never explicitly mentioned why, when all the deviated
stitching options populated on the dealer specific configurator, acid
green was initially shown as available for ordering but with a delay
in production delivery. This is probably due to the difficulty they had
in quality of the thread and piping in acid green from the edition
918 spyder turbo a' they delivered in 2012. So, for an early early
car like this, I would almost guarantee the stitching not to be acid
green, but to be racing yellow. Now however, since last week, the
configurator has removed the delay on acid green stitching and
it is openly order able on any RS build!

as I always like to point out to readers, photographs often 'lie' about
the color presented. If you go back to JUPJAI's beautiful 911 Turbo S,
you can see how this might be possible. In Henry's case, the deviating
stitching on his 'Lichtgrün/Birch Green' cabriolet is indeed 'Racing Yellow'!
More photos of his interior at link below:

I will ask for confirmation by 'Porsche Exclusive' in Germany
about the exact color designation of both - Exterior PTS &
the deviating stitching - on this unusual 991 RS on an email
I will send them today!
But yes, technically speaking, we might be seeing 'Racing Yellow'
deviated stitching on this RS and the camera lens is picking it up
to look similar to what we imagine 'Acid Green' will be on these
RS interiors! It would not be the first time we experience this
kind of 'trompe-l'œil', as photos of Jupjai car will demonstrate!

already been approved for PTS in their .1 gt3 RS but that have
not been built yet (scheduled for spring 2016 production) will
be allowed to modify their interior to take advantage of these
additional color stitching options!

Mind blown.
Deviated stitching! Piping!! What the?!! Since when is pag allowing this much interior customization?? And on an rs to boot!! Is this what AP meant at rrv when talking about future GT cars having more interior upgrades?
Thanks for that info. Wow you seem to have intel the likes of which we've only seen from guys like Eduardo.
Hopefully some of these options get selected by people in time.
No more uv. That seems to contradict a report of June 2016 uv production. I'm betting you're right. This is the first time we've also actually heard quality control issues directly being the cause for discontinuing a colour. And so early. Terrible shame for uv was a really special colour.

Great info, love when the well-informed post details like this. Curious to see how folks take advantage of these options.
