Reference Guide to PTS

I posted when it was first rumored that it would probably be based on Glacier Blue - those photos seem to confirm it somewhat? Continues the trend of reviving '73 RS colors for the RS.

I agree, the sample I had, when put against the Mexico car looked very slightly greener, but it was a very bright day (yes the sun does shine in the UK sometimes). The sample on its own looked a lovely mid blue. The shade on the configurator looks pretty close.

That is the same picture as the one below but cropped. Looks much bluer than when Mexico is in the background

Miami Blue is a great color. Hopefully Porsche get their act together and stop playing games with letting customers spec it.
I'm about ready to dump my July allocation because of it.

Yet more twists and turns in the PTS story. Got a message yesterday from my dealer saying they had just heard all RS cars are being delayed due to PTS but cannot confirm extent of delay.
This after two weeks ago they checked my car and it was all good for Sept build and parts ordered over two months ago; at the same time my friend had his Maritime Blue PTS build put back from Sept to Dec.
Anyone else had similar news in last two days?

Looks like they've still not sorted out the PTS delivery problems...

Here's the exact text from the memo that recently went out to all dealers regarding exterior colors.
PTS:
"Ordering stop from July, 6, 2015. From ordering month September 2015 onwards up to 5 month delay in relation to the allocation month."
Blk, RY, MB:
"From allocation month September onwards this color will be offered and handled via a special paint-to-sample process, which means they will be built with a delay of only approx. 4 weeks in relation to the allocation month. Please note that due to this special process, these colors can only be offered to existing paint-to-sample orders."
That's it. I suspect everyone on the PTS bus ends up delayed per the above but some dealers seem to be slower than others in communicating to the end client for whatever reason. Personally, I wouldn't worry. You have an allocation and that's what matters.
