Yet that doesn't mean someone has not been
able to get his/her custom ordered Porsche
done in this color supposedly reserved for a
past Limited Edition model!

I'll add a tidbit. The exclusive rep knows when to "lock" a PTS color onto a car, the fact that paint needs to be ordered within certain scenarios if you want to do the crazy expensive PTS interior paint which requires extra paint, and other weird little details like which sadlery will do which kind of color thread (as I was told the rep herself)... so, i almost feel like connecting with one of them for some CXX, actually wedges that little door open.. the door which gives opens up to the world of PTS rules. In a very round about way.. CXX can lead to a better PTS chance almost.. or at least some clarity.
best of luck... and may your MSRP skyrocket (i mean, IT WILL) (that's a PTS viper green emoji by the way)

My build was obviously delayed and showed a "freeze" date of 4/26, but when Ultraviolet was approved for 991 in (?) early January, I contacted PE in Atlanta about the feasibility of changing the color: "Oh no; we already ordered the paint."
I wasn't unhappy as I really like greens, but it seemed a bit comical since the car had no CXX requests for any interior parts to be painted Viper Green. And when they freeze it early, I found it was difficult to change anything on the car. It took a few phone calls, but I was allowed to add the Powerkit Package when it became available in January.
Another feature about LTS. I had asked about pricing on deviated stitching on LTS orders and was stunned to get an email back that said something like "on LTS vehicles, all standard deviated stitching is available at no extra charge, saving approximately $4,000.00" (!!!). GT Silver, BTW. They did charge for deviated stitching on a few options (like the steering column casing in leather).
I didn't have the time to fly to Atlanta but PE did loan four green "frogs" to my dealer for a few days.

Hey, I really appreciate the insight and good wishes! Never dealt with custom anything before, so it's pretty exciting.
The CXX providing a better chance of PTS makes complete sense to me. I also think it's better to talk to somebody directly and get a dialogue going. I think everything in life works more smoothly when people realize you're a real human being. Also, my CXX request requires a leap of imagination on their side, so it really requires a discussion vs. somebody just taking an order...
Now to talk to my SA and get the lines of communication opened up (That'a a PTS Meissen blue thumbup)

There's a new blue - literally.
Would be a good *true* PTS.

has already been added to the approved PTS
list for the Macan/Panamera. It was already
approved for Macan/Panamera as of 5/30/2017.
Back in August of 2016, 'Nardo Grey' appeared
on the list as approved for the 991, 718 & Macan.
'Nardo' had not yet been approved in the list
dated Feb 12, 2016. So approval for 'Nardo' in
the various Porsche models have taken place
slowly over the course of the past 1 1/2 years!

PS Audi calls its color 'Nardo Gray', not 'Nardo Grey'!
