From my POV the reason is this. I've been as understanding as anyone throughout this whole thing because I've assumed from the beginning that we will be treated fairly. But if Porsche tries to short change us I will be profoundly pissed. I honestly don't think that will happen; it had better not. If they can lose me, they can lose anyone/everyone.

I feel your pain and hope that Porsche takes the opportunity to correctly manage this PR debacle by being generous. Attempting to do anything else will have unintended consequences.

Pretty sure they would be completely intended consequences...because they would be so dull to not think this one through.

These are my thoughts on compensation after waking past my GT3 in the garage for over a month: If I return the car for a refund Porsche would have to return the purchase price plus the 10k in sales tax I spent. They would then have to warranty the car for 6yrs. as a CPO. I feel this is the minimum they should give us plus a loaner. I believe more than this would be appreciated and generous while any less would be totally unacceptable. Any thoughts?

There has to be compensation for loss of use. I couldn't care less about a loaner. Unless it's another GT3 that I can flog as my own, it's not what I signed up for or paid for. There's nothing I've been offered as a loaner that even comes close to the car that I purchased.

I was thinking that's what the 10k is for, do you think it should be higher? If so what, more money, free service...

Loss of use, depreciation, stigmatization of engine replacement, insurance costs, etc..

The amount of money should be directly related to how long the car is out of service. If this thing ended today $10K would be in the ballpark. It would depend on what else is included. But it's not going to end today and could easily last for another month or more.

Credit for merchandise is unacceptable (ok, I might consider sport seats as part of the deal) . Free service in addition to cash compensation and a warranty extension would be something to consider. But ultimately, cash and extended warranty is what would make me most satisfied.

New car, discounted 10%. Wait, how can I be on the forum and dreaming at the same time?
PAG is big and part of a bigger conglomerate. I'm impatiently curious as to what the general remedial package will be, +/- case by case.
