Just got off the phone with the Porsche Dealer in the US. He confirmed last week they got a notice from PNA stating, All GT3's that have NOT started production will be a 2015.

I will call PNA and demand that if my car comes off the line as a 2014 with 2015's on the boat one of two things I want
1. A 2015 and you can keep the 2014
2. A large reduction in price for the 2014.

Yes both cars would be the same however I did not place my order in time to get a end of year production car when the new ones come out. Just consider this, when the 2014's or any Porsche arrive at the dealer, how much discount do they give to get rid of the 2013's? Dealers still have 2013 911's.

Porsche you are really testing us. You give dealers information and PNA still says " We no nothing" this is just a bunch of BS. Porsche I have lost all trust in you…….. Fix up the crap and start telling your best customers the truth.

I hear you.

I'm not sure we're their best customers, my soccer mom neighbor has had two Cayennes, and is getting a Macan. That's where the real money is.

If fit is true that Porsche will designate cars yet to be built as 2015's then it is save to assume theses cars will not be built anytime soon. The engines are going to the 785 already built. Depending on how fast Porsche wants to replace the engines, the cars scheduled to be built will be set back two to three months.

Agreed. I spoke with my PCNA assigned rep this morning and under no uncertain terms, he confirmed what we had previously heard--owners who took delivery come first, then owners with cars stuck pre delivery (dealers, ports, Germany). Cars not yet produced will have to wait it out.

I just confirmation a couple of hours ago that because my car hasn't started production yet it will be a 2015. Interestingly a fellow board member who ordered his car the same day did start production and is looking at a 2014. Not sure which is better?? No date and a 2015 or a car that you know is on the line.

I agree. Have asked dealer when the earliest 2015 delivery date is and he said none yet have a firm date in system. We will see if Porsche is motivated more to keep 2014s happy or not have 2015s waiting too long.

If 2015s roll out soon, Porsche had better have a hell of a compensation package ready for the engine swap cars (785 worldwide, 408 in the US). If not, they would literally be leaving these customers (myself included) out to dry.

That kind of negative goodwill does not get forgotten easily or ever.

That said, I'm still hopeful that things will work out for all affected parties in a more or less equitable fashion. Bc giving pre production orders 2015 MY status and nothing to 2014 owners, while alienating them, is far from equitable.

They are in a tough spot. They can't take all of us who were schedule for deliveries prior to June and just put us off for 3-4 months. But the cut off date is early I guess relative to other manufacturers. They are stuck. Curious why they just decided to switch early and not do the transition later.

While remaining as positive as possible, I'm getting bad vibes from what I'm hearing.

I don't know. It does seem like they are trying to triage the existing customers first as they should be and moving down the line. I get the feeling that those not in production are at the last in line.

It is what it is. We can get out of line.
