What do you mean by the rear wheel steering lines? I thought the RWS was driven by piezo electric motors. Do you mean the wiring? Smells like BS

Just got this off Pistonhead site. It expresses my concern about internal engine work. I don't know if he is in fact an auto engineer though he claims he is.

Nice to see it scattered all over the lovely clean floor! I like all the bits sitting in a heap on the cardboard as well, no chance of any contact damage there then. No Porsche dealers technician however experienced has a hope of rebuilding a 991gt3 engine to a standard even close to a factory built lump. I do know what I am talking about as I am a qualified automotive design engineer with 15 years of OE experience designing engines and engine production lines.
Please do not let Porsche get away with it. Should our cars need internal engine work then it's a flat refusal all round and a new engine in a bag please delivered to my OPC to be fitted. This is a £110k plus car for gods sake, not a Dacia .

I'm pretty sure it's a joke. RWS is not hydraulic, so no lines there. And to melt electric wires on RWS the temperature needs to be far higher than what would completely incinerate PDK oil.

I also heard Porsche are selling these to early models 6 and 7 gt3/rs owners so they can retrofit their cars to feel more like the new 991 GT3

A+ for creativity !!

Nick, what you've posted from Pistonheads is a waste of bandwidth...the guy not only does not sound like an engineer but he makes no sense...

Better fiction can be found in a Harlequin Romance novel.

.
+1. Macca's hypothesis makes sense.
