The Marina Ace is arriving at the Port of Houston this afternoon with my Turbo S coupe on it. Hopefully it sails through PDI and on to the dealer.

Good job Mike pointing this. I don't see a bracket around this part? I can understand the bolt.

I'm guessing the exchanger is attached by bolts from above, probably to some sort of bracket that isn't visible in the picture.

If my Jackpoint jackstands had arrived already, I'd have the car up on them and be taking a good look at that part in person, but they haven't.

Drop by, we'll put it up on my lift.
It's just a short drive.

The problems seem to be occurring outside Europe too. I am told that three gt3s are already in porsche service centre Dubai with engine trouble. Delivered cars will get recalled. No fires yet, but if you hear an abnormal rattling sound from engine, your car is impacted.

Is this bracket bolts related or it's something else?

God helpo us when folk start posting as fact statements made on here by folk with 5 posts to their name all about their friend in Italy having a car set on fire and that there are 5 more examples.
Talk about heresay. Did anyone actually substantiate any of that as true? Sounds like the "engine blowing up" debarcle again.
Arth on here should beable to shed some light? Hes in Dubai and knows quite a few of the newly delivered cars there....

Here's a snapshot from the parts catalog. The heat exchanger is at the bottom. No bracket is visible (not to say that there isn't a bracket somewhere). There is also a heat exchanger or two on the transmission.
