I've been hoping, but it may pose more of a challenge to meet noise and emissions standards. Since the 964, the RSR has always used 6 throttles with a plenum intake rather than stacks like the 911. This gives better low-end torque but also mutes the intake noise (maybe this is an advantage for reintroduction into a road car)

I suspect that they may have taken in pumping and cooling losses inherited with moving all that coolant to the front of the car and back again. Could be instead of intercoolers it has dual rads or oil/tranny/diff(?) coolers under the ducts for more efficient cooling.

The radiators at the front are there (on both NA and FI cars) to cool the engine itself so those will always be present regardless of NA or FI powerplant.

Intercoolers are required on FI cars to cool the induction air and increase the volumetric efficiency by increasing charge density, which is independent from engine or transmission cooling functions.

Does the RS use wider tires? Couldn't it be that they're using the TT body to fit the tires, and the ducts are just part of the deal, and not really needed on the RS?

As far as I know, the GT3 and Turbo both run the same 305/30-20 and 255/35-20 tire size. Hard to imagine the RS needing larger wheels/tires when it's only 5% more powerful than the GT3 and less powerful than the Turbo, which it shares the basic body shell with.

What is the difference? A bigger wing, a little HP, and a bit lighter? How much are they charging for this?

It is I believe the TT/S body, so it does have the ducts, we wont know until Porsche releases the car if they are functional or not. Having said that the
mule in the pictures has no GT3 style decklid, that in previous versions provided
a ram air intake directing cold air thru a sealed air path into the engine airbox, since no such feature appears on this car, the speculation is that it is using the
intake mechanism from the RSR race car which ducts the air from these flank ducts into the engine ... its all speculation

Fender vents are likely still there but covered.

I recently spoke to a gent in the service dept of a Porsche dealer and he said that he's heard rumors that the new GT3RS will be available with both a PDK and a 6 speed manual transmission.
Just passing this on.

Front fender vents over the wheel, not the rear air intakes.

And in response to the wheel size question... Those rears look to be of a larger diameter than fronts, so not like the turbo.. If the fronts are same as gt3, then are those 21" wheels in rear?!?
