Spot on. Like I said in post 1.
No more HP than the legendary 4.0 little more HP than the GT3 but notably more torque for the RS.
Only potential surprise could be a sub 3000lb PDK - CL - RWS delete CS package for the wishful dreamer that want the lightest possible weight.
March 2015 would work very well for ED :-)

Embarrassed?! Let's see; awarded 2014 World Performance Car, Evo Car of the Year 2013, Top Gear car of the year 2013 with Richard Hammond declaring it "the best car ever invented", Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe calling it "the world's best sports car" and the list goes on and on. Not to mention that everyone on this forum that has actually driven one thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. The only companies that should be embarrassed are it's competitors that have to charge twice as much to compete with the GT3.

the 991RS is shaping up to be a nice 911.
With PDK it could be a fantastic daily driver and a very fast track day car for select weekends.
Car is too new and too nice to install roll bar and track regulary IMHO.
My only question is after spending all this money on a new 991RS, in time will it be coveted like the 997RS series before it?

If the next one is not naturally aspirated and/or incorporates hybrid tech, and if the motor proves itself durable - preferably in a factory racer - then I think it's a given.

500HP is insufficient. They did that 2-3 years ago. And the Z06/7 would kill it.
Porsche can do better. Although the recent PAG focus on lower-end school-run cars and poor racing performance might suggest otherwise.

I am also hearing 500,magnesium roof, a lot of CF in the front end,no manual,4WS retained,918 type seats and wheels assuming seats pass DOT,regular seats optional, PCM standard.
Three headlight options including LED,front lift will be optional extra.

I bet it's like 520+. The new RS uses 4.0L DFI engine, which means it has to have more horsepower that the old 4.0L mezger engine on the RS 4.0, even if the RS 4.0 is super limited edition or legend something. Or it's gonna be a joke...
