i hardly buy car magazines anymore as most shots are altered.

I have a UV car in 1/43 and the color in the picture looks to be pretty accurate. I know paint looks different on different surfaces and surface areas, but I think it looks pretty close.

That dark?
Your avatar is very dark as well on my monitor.
Much darker than my signature that I figured was dark compared to some outside clear day pics I have seen.

It's pretty dark. It lightens up a bit in the sun, but that's the color I expect it to look like on a cloudy day.

Well I finally decided on colour and thanks to that UV pic (it just looks great with the matt black wheels and the black uprights) thats it.

The journey went - silver, white, LO, white, UV, white, black, white, lime green (137), UV, white, Slate grey (oooohhh that is awesome) but the FINAL decision is UV.

It has nothing to do with my gorgeous wife wearing UV underwear and heels either .......

if that is UV, I find it much better than the Jack Nicholson Joker Purple that's been circulating the Internet.

Very funy

The problem with looking at color is that there are so many natural variables to the image, i.e. lighting, shadows, surface, the camera that captures the image and it's settings. Then there are the possible digital augmentations possible through computer programs like Photoshop and also important the settings and color correction of the monitor you view the image on. About the only way to truly visualize for color accuracy is looking at a true paint sample sprayed out on a large surface area and then evaluating the sample under different lighting conditions.

Yes...different lenses, different filters, different light conditions all can create a 'different' look for any color on a photo. And of course, so can pixel color manipulation via digital means afterwards! You might recall how different these earlier photos of Ultraviolet posted at our forum in early March:
