I am wondering whether we should start a separate thread for all of the upcoming reviews of the RS, given the fact that the press days are coming soon. Might be handy to have a place where we can simply collect all of the journo wisdom and video reviews. I do not want to add unnecessary threads, so am looking for some feedback as to whether this makes sense. Any thoughts???

It wouldn't hurt to be proactive. Unfortunately I can already predict multiple threads that will pop up for each review, and likely even multiple for the same review.

Default GT3 RS at Zuffenhausen

Was at Zuffenhausen yesterday and got to see these :-).

There were a couple of RS on the assembly line, one LO and one UV. Got to say that after looking at them in person, I can say that I am not crazy with either color:-).

Another LO was also on the backlot where completed car were parked.

There was one white RS being driven around the museum (with PR dept S GO plate also), looks good.

By the way the 918s already having the outer skin in the 918 plant were 3 whites, one acid green (US car), one somekind of bright blue and two liquid silver and one liquid chrome blue I think. Most of them are US cars :-)

Voodoo blue or this for me... Both would look amazing!

Of the other standard colours, GT Silver is boring on an RS, LO is okay but my feelings are mixed under certain lighting conditions and we need to see more real life photos of barney though to form a meaningful opinion...

Sorry if it's already been mentioned, but when should we expect to start seeing reviews of the RS?

It seems as there been press days for German magazines.

There's is an indication that press days are 20-22 of May.

no pics of UV?! Tease

The pic with the door open on the RS makes me think how much fun it is going to be for the new owners to get inside and twist the key for first time. Lucky!

I really hope the LO dosnt look as red in person... Unless you are into red cars, then it is perfectly awesome

Worrying official news today:

Due to production limitations, current Cayman GT4 and GT3 RS orders including full bucket seats (option p11 on GT4 and standard seat on GT3 RS) will be delayed up to 10 weeks from the scheduled production month.

Please see the cases below for further information:

Cayman GT4:
Existing orders:
-Current orders with option P11 will be delayed up to 10 weeks in production (not yet reflected in PVMS delivery date)
-If your customer chooses to delete P11 by end of day Monday, May 12th, potential delays may be avoided -- the factory will schedule the order as early as possible
New orders:
-P11 can no longer be added to June and July orders due to a global ordering stop
-The option is expected to be available for ordering again for August production

911 GT3 RS:
Existing orders:
-Current orders with standard Full Bucket Seat will be delayed up to 10 weeks in production (not yet reflected in PVMS delivery date)
-If your customer chooses to change to a different seat option by end of day Monday, May 12th, potential delays may be avoided -- the factory will schedule the order as early as possible
New orders:
-All orders with standards seats will continue to be delayed up to 10 weeks

Please be sure to adjust any orders

Not actually new news, but it is been known for quite a while that most of the May build GT3RSs have been pushed to July build because of the 918 style buckets.
