Consolidated 991RS thread

It's not a speed thing for most RS owners. If speed was it I would have kept my 630 whp GTR which would own a 991 RS any day. At the end of the day it was boring and lifeless for me. Albeit the 991 RS will be a way better car than a GTR, but it's not about speed. It's the connection between the driver and car which goes awry when things become digital. No doubt the 991 RS will kill the current RS ... If the upcoming RS is not turbo the next one will be. Either way the 997.2 will be the last metzger, NA manual and the 991 RS will be the last N/A. Both will appreciate over time if that's the case.

Welcome!
... stay tuned for Paris Auto Show Oct 4, 2014. We hope the RS gets revealed at that show. Whether specs with certainty are available before then remains to be seen.

My contacts have gone silent on the subject.
I could understand why it might be delayed until 2015. However forward parts planning would already mean if this were the case then the parts suppliers will know very shortly.
All of this doesnt bode well for the GT series cars IMO. Im a strong believer that the 991 GT3 and the 2015 991 GT3RS will be last of breed for the program as we know it (by designation, by engine type = naturally aspirated etc).
