I wish I knew whether my 6'7" frame would fit into a 458 speciale pornstar...I am doubting it...

I briefly sat my fat *** 40" in my LWB's....I felt comfortable....my 996.3 had Euro GT3 seats. Too tight for me now. If I was 36" (waist) like when I bought the car in '04, I would be OK....Sux getting old and fatter.

I have a 997.1 GT3 CS and intended to use it as a daily drive (during summer) but as it turned out I use it mostly for track use.
Therefore I started to look for a RS - which is considered to be a poor daily driver where I live - We have plenty of snow from Nov-April and you can not use the car until maybe middle of May depending of all the gravel that is put on the roads during the winter.
And in the summer the quality of our roads are not very good (because of the winter wear on the roads) so it is really not a pleasure to use the car as a DD.

My SA told me that most dealers will get 2 cars while a few others will get a couple more due to the VIP program. He also said that they will sell the cars at market value upon delivery which will be 25k-50k above msrp. He told me to place a deposit for him to write an order at market price.
I have never paid over msrp for a car so I am sceptical to place an order and be forced to pay 50k above msrp when the car arrives or else they will sell it to someone who will.
For those of you who are on the list, what did your SA tell you regarding ordering a car and pricing? Thanks

I have put down a deposit on the 8th car.
I do not think that the "pay over msrp" exists here.

I confirm (for European market) and I can even confirm that some discount is even possible. To me was offered 7% that is quite a lot for a similar car..

They took my $1500 deposit for a car at MSRP. I just bought my GT3 from the dealer a few weeks ago. $150k. So in my case they would sell me a $150k car and a ~$200k car within 12 months. If they wanted me to pay $50k over MSRP I wouldn't. I probably wouldn't pay $25k over either. If I end up buying one, it would be at MSRP only. Its a matter of principle with me. All this said, I still feel that I have a deposit down for a theoretical allocation, because the dealer doesn't know how many cars they will get and I am unclear where I sit on the list.
Wonder if dealers will get savvy on this one and start to exercise the Ferrari model. When a new one comes in, punch it, mark it as 'used' with 100 miles on it, then mark it up $50k. It's their way of saving face with the client (i.e. not looking blatantly greedy).
BUT, I'm like you, I have my name on 'a list' just because I can. At my dealer and if some miracle of miracles happens, at least I can make a decision then. No deposit BTW.

That dealer has a list so long that it won't matter. Their GSM told me 37 people...well I guess 38 now on that list.
