Nate, Could you please detail the quote you have for a "yearly" policy, What kind of track use is covered, how many events, cost of coverage, amount, deductible etc ?? Thank you. Allan

Essentially, I pay about $5500 a year for a policy that covers 15 track days (at a private track) and 5 DE events:
- I believe the deductible is $10k, but don't have the policy with me.
- I can list as many cars as I want on it for no additional premium, but the agreed value cap is what the premium is set on. Mine is $165k, I have 3 cars on the policy.
- I can add race coverage, but not sure of the premium cost
There are some catches to it:
1) I had to move all of my insurance over to AIG and the agent
2) I drive my 15 days at a private track, so not sure if that impacts premium
3) I have to tell them which DE events I am doing before I go to them

Hmm, that's interesting. I don't want to move all my polices over, though.
But I really am tired of buying per track day track day insurance.

Really? 2015 model year cars are already being sold. Given the 991 GT3 RS is likely going to be announced in March 2015 at the Geneva show, I thought the actual cars will be sold as 2016 models.
THis would be exactly like how the 991 GT3 was announced in the 2013 Geneva show and then sold as 2014 models

I was thinking this model will be announced in March, production starting early April for May deliveries USA earliest. If this is a Euro 5 car as we believe it to be then production will need to be completed by end of September 2015 unless an extension is granted to the manufacturers. This would in part explain the small numbers being talked about. If this is the case I should think most will be MY15? Im thinking MY16 will start from September with gen 2 991?
