Chances of RWS NOT appearing on the RS is the same as them stuffing a cup sequential as appose to PDK, if the homologation argument holds true. In my humble opinion of course

So the RS adds lightness, power, seats and down force.
And now we know why the last RS on the Ring was sideways everywhere ;-)

Hi Guys,

My first post, i bow i bow... :-)

For years i've had an Evo-9, tuned it to insane limits.. Built a Lancia Integrale (few should know of this Rally Car..) which are now both sold to fund the RS!

I kept my Exige Cup-260 with some interesting mods: too attached to this car to let go!

I have a 2015 RS on reserve in Beirut, Lebanon. Over here cars are up to 20% more expensive than USA..

I've already paid up to 80% of its estimated price. What does that make me!? ... Flamesuite ON!

Only one dealer in Lebanon! I'm no.2 on the list. Weehoo!
I guess some 5 or 6 allocated there..?

Dealer in Lebanon is quite informed, been reading myself this thread and the much-earlier info he's been giving me there is quite exact to what you guys are posting now..

Latest info: Production starts Mid-2015. Not gonna see it in Paris.

Anyway, thanks for all it's been great opening this thread fifteen million times per day and night to check the new posts!!

Cheers,

Wael

PS: I live in Lagos, Nigeria - my country of work!

Welcome Wael. 20% over USA price is much better than I thought your would pay in Beirut. I thought you may pay more like what we do in New Zealand and Australia (+38%)

If the production starts mid 2015 and the launch is not Paris then it is either Detroit or Geneva. My money would be on Geneva!

We have many Integrale here and Evo too. The Exige Cup sounds like alot of fun to drive. I dont know anything about Beirut or indeed the middle east but are there lost of good driving roads for you there with a very low and siuff car?

Surely this is not hard when there is only one dealer in the country and the country is one of the most affluent on earth?

From what I learn from Arth, Tom and many other here from Dubai unfortunately your dealer Porsche Centre DubaiAl Nabooda Automobiles L.L.C doesnt seem to be any better informed than the rest I am affraid :-)

I called my dealer yesterday asking questions. He said PCNA is confirming a GT3RS will be built but it is nine months delayed from the original planned release date due to the GT3 engine issues. Hence the reason we are hearing more dealers are accepting deposits. He and I have no idea when the original scheduled release was. To me WazRS appears to have the most current information. It's too bad... A Paris release would have been great.

My dealer did confirm in writing that I am first the first GT3RS allocation!!!! Made my day.

Thanks Wael. Ive learned something today. I remember that article on the Drs 73 Rs that was found in Beirut some years ago so there is a history of some interesting cars residing there. Love the Lotus and the colour!

Dont forget that the 918 owners get preferential '1st come' access to new models...

There's actually 2 dealers in the UAE, Macca. One (Al Naboodah) in Dubai (who sells about 1,200 Porsches per year, I've been told) and one in Abu Dhabi (Ali & Sons). The latter one is a bit smaller and there's quite a number of people in Dubai (such as 1198r) who decide to buy their Porsche's over there for various reasons.

Oooops Tom & 1198r! I apologise. Two dealers then. Im still not convinced they are any better advised than the bulk of the other dealers around the world....

Porsche will keep their cards close to their chest on RS production dates to keep consumer demand on the non RS 2015 GT3...
