When you placed your order and put down your order deposit you should have been given a retail build sheet with the options and prices. If no mark-up was discussed at that time you should be golden.

So with GT3 production getting a pretty late start and a few parts availability delays still plaguing some cars, the original production estimates by Porsche from early 2013 (e.g. Porsche CEO at NY auto show) of approximately 10% of 911 production for 2013 being GT3s seems a bit unlikely.
Production for 2012 for all 911 models was a little over 28,000. So the original estimate was approximately 2800 GT3s, now I would suspect that's a worldwide number.
At this point the UK has an initial limit of around 250 cars, with perhaps a few more metered out slowly. UK dealers have been told to stop taking deposits and some have returned deposits.
There have been rumors of numbers under 1000, I think 864 cars for the US was the exact rumor. I'm not sure if that intended for the US only or all of North America.
Obviously Porsche is re-prioritizing production to meet some of the demand, but that can only go so far without limiting demand on the other 911 variants.
Does anyone have any additional information on production quantities?
To me it appears that world-wide quantities will be suppressed by 1/4 to 1/3.
Anyone else have any thoughts?

^^I heard a while back that earlier orders for other 911 variants were coming in sooner than expected, suggesting that Porsche was getting ahead of production on those cars while GT3 production was delayed. This might mean that they have more capacity now to build GT3's for a while. But you make a good point and I don't know where we could go to get a straight answer on what's really going on and whether GT3 numbers will meet the previous projections.

I am glad my dealer got me bumped up to #2 slot, January lock, March build. I was sweating it pretty bad when I was #3 with a March lock.
It seems the 991 GT3 will be pretty rare through next summer. I doubt that 2015 production numbers will be 10% due to the introduction of the Targa, perhaps a GTS and rumors of a Speedster and at some point the GT3 RS.
Will be interesting in the end to see what the actual production numbers look like. If Porsche sticks to a 2 year production on the 991 GT3, total production could be as low as 997 levels.

Drifting, my original schedule showed leaving Emden 12/6, arriving San Diego 1/10, at dealer 1/24. The ship left 12/9 but according JCBH above, his update shows it arriving San Diego 1/3 which is a week earlier than my projection. If that's the case, and assuming the car doesn't get hung up in customs, 2nd or early 3rd week of January at my NorCal dealer seems possible.
