991.2 GT3 prices!? WOW!

Wells said. Whilst many gt3 owners are tripping over themselves to sell their GT3s and GT3Ts, I'm doing the opposite. I'm driving it daily. I'm modifying it. I'm making it my own. It's the best car I've ever had even if I lose the stoplight drags with Teslas. It gets the right attention (from true car people who know what it is) and appreciated by most of the population (women tend to like the wingless 911s more than other cars I've found - many women I know... think supercars are their owners' wishful compensation for anatomic inadequacies). I have an amazing 675LT I specially spec'd and it's a wonderful car I hope to keep forever, but the 911 Touring is the one I love the most.
Agree these are keepers ... GT3 Touring lightest spec (mods Dundon headers and intake, RS titanium center, lithium battery, polycarbonate rear glass, total -80lbs) and stock 675LT

AP really is THAT guy. But the world has changed. His hands are tied by increasingly stringent emissions madness, fuel economy, noise, money, electronic controls, safety mandates, a company committed to becoming an all electric vehicle manufacturer, political strong arming and a general loss of freedom.

Fair enough but if we're talking regression to the mean, the stock market will regress to a historical average which is still an annual gain of 7-10% (depending on the window of time you look at it and whether you include dividend reinvestment) whereas for GT3s. it is still mild (compared to normal cars) depreciation. The economic system is inherently self-correcting - even without fed intervention, runaway inflation will eventually right itself through economic destruction and a decrease in the creation of new credit (Japan anyone?). If the argument is that GT cars will be highly sought after as everything electrifies and will one day be worth what an air cooled 911 is today, then sure - that's a viable argument. However, it's not exactly coincidence that random asset bubbles have sprouted up everywhere as a result of easy monetary policy - real estate, dogecoin, lumber etc etc. Cars have got caught in that spillover effect plus some more from the chip shortage. But real estate is already slowing as more people list their properties since prices got so high, doge / bit coin are half of what they were trading at as people realized gains, and the NASDAQ is at the exact same level it first reached in February. Meanwhile, there are now 68 manual GT3s on sale vs 15 from a couple months ago. Don't get me wrong, like most people on this forum, I'd only benefit from runaway asset inflation but I just think the evidence is pretty clear that the inflation is transient as opposed to a secular change. Cheers.

I don't get it. I just did a search for 2014 to 2020 GT3 and GT3RS on Autotrader and there are 253 available. And that's only on Autotrader. That's a lot of cars.
