Default 991.2 GT3 prices!? WOW!

If this has already been brought up, I apologize, but is it just me or have 991.2 GT3 prices gone much higher? What is driving this (no pun intended)? Are folks not into the 992 variant?

I'm fascinated, haha.

Shortage of cars but......

Also many people feel the 992 GT3 is hideous, not a big performance improvement outside of the track, and crazy expensive, particularly with ADMs.

so the desirability of the 991 GT3s has increased since the formal 992 GT3 announcement.

Nope it’s a inventory problem AMG G wagon is 100k over now. People want cars and no inventory, and the bottom will fall out just don’t know when. Got cash you get the sell. G wagon was 10k over and now 100k

Haha, we haven't been talking about this at all.

Also, it's not just the 991.2 - the domino effect the tourings started flowed down to all 991 GT cars, including the Power Wheels 991.1 with flawed engine.

**** is wild. It’s like $AMC or $GME. Was shopping for a car in March and literally missed out on a few and then to watch it skyrocket and be priced out. Had to throw out the door any pricing models or comparisons research you might have done. Crazy watching it rise almost in real time. There is a lot more inventory now though.

Higher msrp for 992 plus ADMs will cause this in addition to supply shock of cars in general. Even 991.1 prices are up. But keep in mind, not all GT3s are selling at inflated prices. Stripper models are not for instance.

Some sort of chip shortage holding production up?
Tesla distributed SW and off loaded ECU tasks to their 8 bit microcontrollers so have not been affected

This^ was earlier today, watched it after Graham Rahal's Ford GT went for low seven figures. It's crazy out there. I'm not buying anything but food and gas, lol.

To the OP:
HELLO?
There is a chip shortage that is expected to persist for another year. Prices for many Porsches are up 15-25%. Dealers have virtually no inventory and are slapping big ADMs on any Porsche sportscars they can get.
Cough up a lot of money, or wait a year or to for production to catch up, or hope/pray for the next recession. Those seem to be the only available choices for those wanting to buy.

Well said although I would have stated it as
992 GT3 FUGLY

Bring back the Remington shaver gear shifter (said nobody ever)
