Best place/price for extended Porsche warranty?

Dealer quoted me:
9 years/60k miles: $6,698
10 years/75k miles: $9,698
Just powertrain:
9 years/60k miles: $5,170
10 years/75k miles: $6,420
This is a Porsche factory warranty not third party
I think it’s fair. Is anyone getting better? He said they aren’t marked up as they are direct through Porsche

Did any of you guys pull the trigger on the Porsche extended warranty? I’m interested but can’t seem to get anyone at my local dealer to respond to my inquiries.

I have called three different dealerships asking about the Porsche extended warranty for a 991.2 3RS, but all three have said that car isn't eligible for the warranty. That consistency makes me think they're probably right and Porsche isn't going to cover the GT cars. Anybody hearing anything different?

Those that have asked me about the extended warranty. I currently have a .1 GT3 15’ with 7500 out of warranty non CPO and the Platinum coverage cost me $3,900 for 3yrs/36k which I find it to be reasonable, I did have to have an inspection done prior to purchasing the warranty. this is with Champion Porsche in Pompano Beach Florida. Pm me and ill forward the persons info.

I'm curious too- was this one of the warranties through Porsche, or some other provider?
If Porsche, it's very very strange they would cover a 991.2 GT3 but not a 991.2 GT3RS....

Though it occurs to me the lack of available coverage for the 991.2 GT3RS may simply be because none of these cars are yet near the end of their OEM 4 year warranties. Perhaps Porsche will offer it as they get closer to the regular warranty ending....

Curious- Are GT3s with PDK covered as well as the manual?
Not to get all conspiracy theory, but I can't think of any reason Porsche would cover the GT3 and not the GT3RS; they're awfully similar (in PDK form) and see similar usage. Could it have something to do with the valvetrain issues with the PDK? Though if the GT3 with PDK is covered that would dispense with that hypothesis...
Or, as I stated before, it may simply be because the 3RSs aren't close to the end of their warranty yet.
