There are others to whom this has happened, they just haven't gone public. Follow the course as others on this thread have suggested, you have the upper hand.

I realize lemon laws vary by state. but at least in PA you can only invoke a lemon law case if the dealer has been unable to fix the issue, I believe after 3 attempts.

I think there’s also a time element. Usually 3 or 4 attempts to repair the same issue OR being out of service for repair for longer than 30 days. Depends on your State. Not sure on New York (OP) and it probably also matters which State the car was purchased in.

I would have to agree with you. I don't think lemon law would apply in this case because there hasn't been multiple attempts to fix the same issue. But if it comes down to it I will find out for sure.

New York Lemon Law would appear to be on your side here. Based on your description, you could argue on two fronts: 1) substantial impairment of value and 2) 15 days without use (a maximum 45 days if parts are required).

How would get that started? Do I just tell the dealer or do I need an attorney for that? AT this point if that is an option I want to go that route.

Subscribed to this thread. Hoping Porsche is monitoring too and know that this thread is being closely watched by other owners. Porsche has done the right thing before. For example proactive replacement of the GT4 gearbox. Hoping they keep this approach for your issue.
